As reported on June 22, 2017, an ancient super-volcano, or caldera, lies beneath the surface of Yellowstone National Park. About 1,000 to 3,000 earthquakes strike Yellowstone each year, according to researchers, who have tried to reassure citizens that major eruptions of this super-volcano are not likely for tens of thousands of years, “though less extreme lava releases could occur within thousands of years.”

Subject: We have questions about this supervolcano
Dear scientists and administrators, tasked with keeping us safe from disaster, or at least warning of impending doom:
IF, as the scientists say, a possible eruption of the super-volcano beneath Yellowstone National Park is over 100 centuries away:
- Why are you all even talking about it? Who cares, if an eruption isn’t expected to happen for even 200 generations? As stated on the site ScienceAlert.com:
“It is extremely unlikely that these swarms will set off the supervolcano. In fact, the USGS sets the probability of the supervolcano erupting in the coming year at 1 in 730,000, and has kept its volcano alert level at green.”
Those sound like decent odds on the surface. After all, according to the National Safety Council, your odds of dying based on the following are far greater:
Firearms Discharge (1 in 6,905)
Air and Space Transport Incidents (1 in 9,821)
Exposure to Electric Current, Radiation, Temperature and Pressure (1 in 15,212)
Exposure to Excessive Natural Heat (1 in 16,584)
Contact with Sharp Objects (1 in 38,174)
Contact with Heat and Hot Substances (1 in 56,992)
Contact with Hornets, Wasps and Bees (1 in 63,225)
Cataclysmic Storm (1 in 66,335)
Being Bitten or Struck by a Dog (1 in 112,40)
Legal Execution (1 in 119,012)
Lightning Strike (1 in 161,856)
- Why has NASA sent up the SOFIA (Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy), over the Yellowstone area several times in the last few weeks? What are they exactly looking for? It’s unlikely to be used unless absolutely required as, per the NASA Inspector General’s July 9, 2014 Office of Audit report on SOFIA:
“The SOFIA Program’s $3 billion life-cycle cost estimate, which includes a planned 20-year operational life and annual operating costs of approximately $80 million (equating to an annual operating cost of about $104,000 per planned research flight hour), makes it one of the most expensive programs in NASA’s science portfolio.” [emphasis mine]
Why have the earthquakes’ frequency increased from about 6.8 quakes a day (2,500/year) on average, to now approximately 62 quakes a day (878 in 14 days)? “This is the highest number of earthquakes at Yellowstone within a single week in the past five years,” reported the USGS in a statement released last week. Why shouldn’t this alarm us? The majority of the earthquakes were no greater than a magnitude of 1, but the largest reached a magnitude of 4.4, which is the biggest earthquake experienced in Yellowstone since March 2014.
Should we be concerned that the intensity of the earthquakes is also increasing, with a magnitude 4.8 earthquake, as Scientific American has reported, on Sunday, March 30, 2014 – the strongest since February 1980 (37 years ago)?
- Will we ever get a straight answer out of any of them? Likely not. Let’s face it – government believes you are too mentally weak to be able to handle the truth. Yet, they are increasingly sharing this narrative, which leads many of us more suspicious types – that something terrible is about to happen. You MUST be prepared for any future issue. See our new store below, which we created in partnership with Amazon.com, to assist you in those preparations. You owe it to your family and yourself to be prepared – no one else will be doing that preparation for you.
EVERY HOME NEEDS A SURVIVAL KIT / EMERGENCY SUPPLIES.
You cannot be “too prepared” for a monumental natural disaster like this super-volcano, but today, one doesn’t have to be impacted by something that large. Thunderstorms, tornados, flooding, hurricanes, power failures, blizzards, hail storms and other events you cannot control …can still control you!
Be prepared – have an emergency kit available in your home at all times! Check out our Survivalist Store, where we have many of the items your home should not be without in the event of a major issue.
Don’t expect the government to take care of you – you will be on your own for as long as 72 hours or more in the event of a major issue.
