Was Canada Effective in World War II? ASK THE WORLD

I used to always state that Quora.com was a site where people could ask questions on any topic, and those who feel qualified attempt to answer them.  “It’s much like Yahoo! Answers”, I would further explain.  But it’s becoming increasingly clear that this is not a fair comparison.   It’s becoming more like a bunch of yahoos WITH answers making up answers.  And doing an even worse job with some of the questions.  Quora doesn’t make people stupid.  It just makes stupid people more accessible to the general public.  And as the old adage says – “stupidity is contagious, and there’s no known cure”.

The question popped up a few days ago, and I couldn’t believe it.  I also couldn’t keep quiet.  How dare the uneducated chatter class insult the memory of the tens of thousands of Canadians who gave their lives for our global freedom (yep, including the freedom of the brainwave that wrote this question, no matter where he or she lives).  This writer should be happy to discover that Canada was very effective in World War II, along with their Allied partners.  It’s why we aren’t speaking German or Japanese today.

WHAT FOLLOWS IS MY RESPONSE, word-for-word, to this highly controversial question.  Photos were later added for this blog article only.

You’ll have to excuse my homeland of Canada – we were amiss apparently by not personally educating YOU on our war effectiveness from 1939–1945. Let’s fix that. There are a few people you should talk to:

  • Workman John Hawkins of Toronto checks the tags of Bren machine-guns at the John Inglis Co. plant in Toronto. Canada produced millions of arms for the Allied war effort. © Archives Canada mikan-3197327

ASK THE BRITISH  how effective we were. Before we even sent a single man, gun, plane, tank or ship – we made sure to take care of the British people themselves.  Remember, they live on an island, and risked being isolated by the Nazis, after the war started in September 1939.

Canadian exports accounted for as much as 77% of British wheat and flour consumption in 1941, 39% of the bacon, 15% of the eggs, 24% of the cheese, and 11% of the evaporated milk that the British imported globally.

Abandoned British equipment on the beach at Dunkirk. Although 340,000 troops were evacuated from Dunkirk, the British Army left behind: 120,000 vehicles, 600 tanks, 1000 field guns, 500 anti-aircraft guns, 850 anti-tank guns, 8000 Bren guns, 90,000 rifles and half a million tons of stores and ammunition. (Credit: LIFE Magazine, 1940)

Britain also had to leave 75,000 of their 80,000 vehicles behind in the evacuation at Dunkirk in 1940. Virtually defenseless on the ground, Britain turned to Canada – and particularly the Canadian auto industry – to replace what had been lost. Canada not only replaced those losses – we also did much more.

Canada produced more than 800,000 military transport vehicles, 50,000 tanks, 40,000 field, naval, and anti-aircraft guns, and 1,700,000 small arms. 38% of this production was used by the British military alone. The Canadian Army “in the field” had a ratio of one vehicle for every three soldiers, making it the most mechanized field force in the war.

Canada also loaned $1.2 billion on a long-term basis to Britain immediately after the war; these loans were fully repaid in late 2006. That’s the equivalent of about $17.7 billion today.

ASK THE FRENCH how effective we were. On June 6, 1944, 14,000 Canadian troops stormed Juno Beach, arriving on 110 Canadian ships and supported by 10,000 Canadian sailors, part of 150,000 Allied troops total, who were part of the greatest invasion by sea in world history. Canada was the only nation that captured its beach and fulfilled all Her orders on D-Day. We suffered over 1,000 casualties that day alone.

The French WILL tell you we were effective, by the way – they were occupied by the Germans for over 4 years – but then just 74 days after D-Day, we liberated Paris, and less than one year after D-Day, our little nation had assisted in bringing down the Third Reich completely – an empire that conquered 11 nations on 2 continents with 20 million battle-hardened troops, And Hitler was dead. Were we effective. They would shout a resounding “Oui!”

ASK THE DUTCH how effective we were. Our country welcomed Queen Juliana, Prince Bernhard and the other members of the Dutch royal family as our guests for 5 years, after the Nazis invaded their Kingdom in June 1940. Dutch Princess Margriet was born in Ottawa Civic Hospital.

Later, Canada almost single-handedly liberated the Netherlands from the Nazis on May 9, 1945, and the Dutch still celebrate Liberation Day (unofficially called “Canada Day”) with Canadian flags flying in Amsterdam on that day, citizens still running to give our aged soldiers flowers as they march or ride in parades there.

In a decades-old Dutch tradition, schoolchildren visit the Canadian War Cemetery in Holten, Netherlands on Christmas Eve every year, where nearly 1,400 Canadian soldiers are buried, and they place candles on every grave. More immigrants arrived in Canada in the 1950s from the Netherlands than from any other nation in the world, including America. In fact, the 2016 Canadian Census reported 1,111,655 persons of Dutch origin living in Canada out of 37 million Canadians. Did they find us effective? They would say “ja!

  • In fact, I’d even recommend ASKING THE GERMANS how effective we were. Particularly the German troops that were garrisoned at the town of Zwolle, in the Netherlands. Canadian soldier Léo Major was the only Canadian and one of only three soldiers in the British Empire and Commonwealth to ever receive the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) twice in separate wars. In 1945, he single-handedly liberated the city of Zwolle, the Netherlands from German army occupation. He was sent as a scout with one of his best friends, but he thought the town was too beautiful for a full scale attack. So the next rational option was to clear it out himself. A firefight broke out and his friend was killed, but that didn’t stop him – he put the commanders of each group of soldiers he found at gunpoint, and the entire unit would end up being taken prisoner as a result. He ended up taking nearly 100 Germans prisoner that night, until the entire city was clear of Nazis. He received his second DCM during the Korean War for leading the capture of a key hill in 1951.

Canada declared war in Germany just 7 days after Great Britain and France, and had troops in Europe literally weeks later. It would take a further 26 months before the United States would enter the War. By the time the War was over, Canada had over 1.1 million soldiers in uniform – about 33% of our entire adult male population.

At the end of the Second World War, Canada had one of the largest navies in the world, with 95,000 men and women in uniform, and 434 commissioned vessels including cruisers, destroyers, frigates, corvettes and auxiliaries.

During the 2,159 days that Canadian soldiers fought across Europe, Asia and Africa, 45,000 were killed, and 55,000 were injured. Those total casualties were equal to nearly 1 out of every 10 soldiers that served.

Canadians are not a blunt, brash or boasting lot. We are famous for apologizing for things that aren’t our fault. So let me say ”sorry” to you in that vein – during the War, our armed forces were too busy making scraps to make a scrapbook for posterity. Many of our soldiers were gone for six years and then had to be re-integrated back into society after the War. We were also kind of busy burying our dead, and helping rebuild the world.

We’ll be sure to get it right for World War IIIwhich ironically will likely be started by someone like you, asking ill-advised, inflammatory questions like this.

(Editor’s Note:  The answer above certainly struck a nerve, which I’m thankful for!   In just the last 30 days alone, nearly 50,000 people on Quora.com read my answer above, and I received dozens of very kind comments.  I’ve shared my favorite at the end of this article.

I’m also honoured to have been “upvoted” over 2,900 times, which, according to Quora, means that these readers “believe I answered the question asked and contributed in a meaningful way to Quora’s repository of knowledge”.

If only the ORIGINAL QUESTION had been written with that same goal in mind.

And for the very first time in my life, I believe, something I’ve written has been painstakingly translated word for word into French, by a man I don’t know and have never spoken to before!  Merci beaucoup, Pierre Luc Gaudreault de Montréal!  You did an amazing job / Tu as fait un travail incroyable!

And it’s comments like these that truly make my blog, Quora, Youtube, Twitter…all worthwhile.  Thank you Raymond Li!

[God’s Got A Plan For You!]

The Poppy and the Cross

In Canada today, the two most dramatic symbols representing our society, our freedoms – even our very identity as Canadians – are arguably:
– The poppy, which we wear with pride around Remembrance Day (November 11) annually, and…
– The Cross, which we revere every day of the year.

So it should be no surprise that BOTH symbols are under fervent attack by secular humanism and the rise of false religions, more than any other in Canada today.  For if the enemies of everything we hold dear simply strike at our foundations, this entire structure we call “Canada”…

…will come crashing to the ground.

We are NOTHING as a country, if we choose to ignore the individual and corporate sacrifices, (in “sweat, blood, toil and tears”, as Winston Churchill once said), of the brave men and women who have served in our Canadian Armed Forces with honour for 152 years and counting.

On Remembrance Day annually (November 11), we pause for a moment at 11:11 AM local time, in whatever part of this HUGE country’s we may be in, to commemorate the moment when, on that date and time in 1918, the Great War – the “War to End All Wars”, the “Seminal Catastrophe”, or the “European War” as it was known, finally came to a close.

This was the first global war in world history.  Starting in Europe on July 28, 1914, and carrying on for 1,567 days until November 11, 1918.  70 million troops marched onto battlefields in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, including 60 million Europeans, making it one of the largest wars in history.  It was also the deadliest, claiming 9 million soldiers and 7 million civilians, as a direct result of the war, and over 20 million others from diseases like the Spanish flu, that claimed another 50 to 100 million, starvation and scattered genocides that followed.

Canadian National Vimy Memorial in France – where the names of the 11,285 Canadians who lost their lives in France and who had no known grave are recorded.

We wear a poppy to commemorate what our soldiers did there because it MATTERED.  Our young boys stepped into living Hell on hardened battlefields, that had equally hard names to pronounce and spell –  like Ypres, Festubert and Givenchy (1915), The Somme (1916), Vimy Ridge, Hill 70, Lens, Passchendaele and Cambrai (1917).  In every situation, we did things beyond our training.  We successfully completed missions that France and England, who had 1,000 year old military histories, couldn’t do.  Canadian soldiers often did the unthinkable – at times, even the impossible – for 1,567 days (from July 28, 1914 to November 11, 1918), and we assisted the Allies in defeating the Central Powers, which included three Empires (German, Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian), as well as Bulgaria.

Little Canada was not even 50 years old when the war started.  Only 8 million residents in the whole country then.    We grew up into adulthood before the eyes of the world.  So foundational was our input in World War I that the last 100 days, from August 8 to November 11, 1918, are known today as “Canada’s Hundred Days”.  At one point during World War I, 7% of Canadians were in uniform, one of the highest participation rates by any army in any war in world history.   If the US had that size of army based on population, it would number 22 million.  If China did, their armies would have number 97 million.

We wear a poppy to show solidarity with the everyday Canadians who fought for us so long ago.  They were us.  A total of 619,636 Canadians enlisted with the Canadian Expeditionary Force during the war, 424,000 served overseas – and 59,544 died during the war (51,748 as a result of enemy action, and 7,796 from “friendly fire” incidents, accidents and disease).   Hundreds of thousands more worked in the war effort back home, in administration, factories making munitions, equipment, tanks, planes, ships, uniforms, and growing and packaging food and medicine.  There wasn’t a familiy in Canada that was untouched by the war – there were likely few in the country that didn’t know someone overseas.  Many also knew someone who died there.

And this war was not as advertised – it did not “end all wars”.  In fact, just 21 years later, the world would once again be set on fire, with battles raging on three continents, as Hitler and his Nazi hordes attempted to conquer the world.  By the time the final bomb had been dropped on Nagasaki on August 8, 1945, and the two wars had finally ended in Europe, Africa and Asia, over 60 million people had died, including 25 million Russian civilians alone.

We wear a poppy to remember that Canadian soldiers changed the world.  And Canada had become a new symbol of freedom and hope in the world.   We sent over 1 million soldiers to Europe, many of whom didn’t come home for 6 years in World War II.  Tens of thousands didn’t come home at all.  We declared war on Hitler just one week after Great Britain and France did, on September 10, 1939.  We weren’t forced to – the King had told our government that we had free will to determine if this is was a cause we wanted to send our boys into harm’s way for.  We debated it in Parliament, we thought about it, we prayed about it.  And we did it.  Once we declared war on September 10, we had troops on the ground in Europe just 2 weeks later.  And our boys volunteered for it.  It took the US another 820 days before they joined the war, and their troops had to be drafted, even then, to do so.

We wear a poppy over our hearts, because we loved these young men, and because they gave all they had, with all their hearts, for us.  We honour the heroic contributions of our soldiers, over the last 1.5 centuries, to the building of our nation.  And to the freedom enjoyed by the entire Western world.  They were literally a force for good that stopped the forces of evil spreading across the globe.

Speaking of which – there are some misguided Cretans who introduced a rainbow poppy this year, just before British Armistice Day – like the gay community wasn’t getting enough attention during commemorations for our war dead?  Attempting to turn the poppy into a culturally misappropriated gay symbol is outrageous.

These are likely the same morons that wear a pink triangle as a symbol of connection with the LGBT community – not realizing that the symbol was introduced in the Nazi concentration camp system, along with the yellow star, to help sort out which prisoners were which.

It is also truly disgusting that some in the Muslim community boycott the sale of poppies because they consider it a symbol of “racism”, and some Legion branches in the UK stopped selling them in “certain areas” of Britain to avoid offense, though they have been selling them throughout the UK since 1921.  This vocal minority of Muslims try to extinguish the symbol altogether – yet they are hardly the spokespeople for racial tolerance in the world.

In Canada, our freedoms are only authentically maintained when our people still hold dear to the sacrifices symbolized by the POPPY – and we must “NEVER FORGET” to STAND AND SALUTE those who shed their blood for victories over dictators and despots.

However, that freedom only truly exists in Canada and indeed in EVERY nation on Earth, when the people hold EVEN MORE dear to the Sacrifice actualized by the CROSS of JESUS CHRIST – and we must “BE IN REMEMBRANCE” to KNEEL, BOW AND CLING to the One who shed His blood for our final victory over the Devil and even Death itself.

I STAND to honor the anthem and the flag, and symbolically pin a poppy OVER MY HEART today, with pride and thankfulness.

But first…

I KNEEL and BOW to honor the Cross, and literally invite the Saviour of the World, Jesus Christ, to LIVE INSIDE MY HEART, with humility and thankfulness.

Because of the sacrifices of Canadians – on far off battlefields – many individual freedoms are enjoyed today by the Canadian people.

But without the Sacrifice of Christ – “on a hill far away” – WE HAVE NO FREEDOM AT ALL – either on this Earth or eternity to come.

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36)

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”  (Galatians 5:1)

“In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.”  (Ephesians 3:12)

“I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.”  (Psalm 119:45)

[God’s Got A Plan For You!]

CANZUK – The Canada-Australia-New Zealand-United Kingdom Free Trade Bloc

Great Britain is now beginning the process of divorcing from the European Union and going on its own – something it’s quite capable of doing, having built an Empire, then a Commonwealth, with impact around the world,  that has lasted 1,000 years.  Now a new trade deal is being considered between four very old and dear friends – family members actually – and it’s starting to get a lot of interest among the citizenry of those four countries.  It might just be the best idea any of the four has ever been part of!
The proposed union even has an unofficial name, already becoming comonplace – CANZUK:  the Canada-Australia-New Zealand-United Kingdom trade bloc. There is even a website currently promoting the idea to all four national governments and their citizens – all four of whom are in various stages of development of the idea already:

CANZUK with insignias of the four Commonwealth countries involved: Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. (Credit: Alexander MacLeod)

I believe strongly that the United Kingdom/Great Britain would indeed be best served by joining with these particular member states of the current British Commonwealth, to form a new trade bloc, like the EU – Australia, New Zealand and Canada (FULL DISCLOSURE: I was born I, and have lived all of my 51 years, as a citizen of Canada).

The personal, professional, business and national connections between these four particular countries are incredibly deep. Of course, this is because we are family, as I stated previously – Great Britain being our mother, and the other three nations (Australia, New Zealand and Canada) being sisters, who to this day very much love and respect one another.

The trust and credibility built between these four nations goes all the way back to our individual founding as colonies of the British Empire, and now member sovereign states of the Commonwealth. The daughter states are all within 44 years of being the exact same age:

  • New Zealand – May 7, 1856
  • Dominion of Canada – July 1, 1867
  • Commonwealth of Australia – January 1, 1901

These four nations fought through two World Wars, the Great Depression, and a host of other challenging times… side by side.

(from l to r, Rt. Hon. Malcolm Turnbull, Prime Minister of Australia, Rt. Hon. Teresa May, Prime Minister of Great Britain, Rt. Hon. Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, and Rt. Hon. Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand)

We share Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II as our common monarch. A shared monarch is an essential aspect of CANZUK, which represents a global institution which has played an important role as a symbol of a common heritage and parliamentary tradition.

The Crown is the cornerstone of our democratic governments, and the rule of law over a long history of peaceful constitutional development. It is instructive to note that the English speaking countries which have retained the monarchy have been far more successful in avoiding civil unrest than their republican counterparts such as France and the United States.

The four nations have the same Parliamentary governmental system, a similar Constitution, and are all members of the British Commonwealth. We have similarly-ranked and recognized educational institutions, as well as similar trends in the business and financial realms, and similar geopolitical aspirations. The four nations also have, for the most part, the respect and trust of the majority of the nations of the world.

Interest and support is already high in all four nations for such a trade bloc agreement:

Overall National Average Support (in %):

National Support by Region (in %):

We have a similar racial profile, speak the same language (with some various differences that only make things more interesting). Canada, Australia and New Zealand even share a similar currency with a near-identical value – the Dollar. For example, on October 2, 2019 (information provided by Google Finance)

  • 1 New Zealand Dollar equals 0.83 Canadian Dollar
  • 1 Australian Dollar equals 0.89 Canadian Dollar
  • 1 New Zealand Dollar equals 0.93 Australian Dollar

With the United Kingdom “Brexiting” the European Union trade bloc and going on their own, this idea has gained newfound interest in the UK, and across the other three nations as well.

passs-e1490853717728This concept of a trade bloc consisting of the United Kingdom/Great Britain, as well as Canada, Australia and New Zealand was discussed in a February 13, 2017 Financial Post article, which I will quote verbatim for some excellent updated information. – In the Trump era, the plan for a Canadian-U.K.-Australia-New Zealand trade alliance is quickly catching on:

Erin O’Toole, one of the candidates for the Conservative Party leadership, has made one of the key planks of his campaign his determination to “pursue a Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand trade and security pact.” The idea of creating a “CANZUK” zone of free trade and free movement of labour is catching on elsewhere, too.

In New Zealand, the junior coalition partner in the government, the Act New Zealand party led by David Seymour (who himself worked for five years in Canadian politics), is explicitly in favour of free movement and free trade within CANZUK.

Proposed flag of the CANZUK union, composed of elements from all four national flags. Some with overactive imaginations say this reminds them of a white supremacist flag.

In official party circles within the U.K. and Australia, the wheels are grinding a little slower, but the former Australian prime minister Tony Abbott is already into most of the idea, proposing a free-trade agreement and free-movement area encompassing Australia, New Zealand and the U.K. And in Britain, Theresa May’s Conservative government has made it clear it wants new trade agreements with Canada, Australia and New Zealand as soon as possible after it leaves the EU.

The idea of CANZUK begins with a free-trade agreement, free-movement area (the freedom to live and work in each others’ countries) and defence-partnership agreement. O’Toole favours all three of these main planks, and he’s right that it all makes perfect sense.

The post-Cold-War alliances are obsolete. NAFTA is dead. The EU is losing a key member.

The CANZUK countries, working closely together, would make a formidable contribution to world affairs. They would have the largest total landmass of any free-trade zone. They would collectively constitute the fourth-largest market in the world, after the U.S., EU and China.

Their combined military spending would be the world’s third largest, well ahead of Russia, and on European Geostrategy’s geopolitical power index, the CANZUK countries collectively have a strength around 70 per cent of that of the U.S. — and nearly twice that of China or France. With a combined global trade footprint nearly twice as big as Japan’s, the CANZUK countries would have substantial influence in opening up global markets and guiding global regulation across a range of issues from banking to shipping to the environment.

tldrcanzukWhat makes CANZUK a natural union is perhaps self-evident. Canada, the U.K., Australia and New Zealand share a similar culture, similar values, and analogous legal, business and social systems that allow us to get along easily and interchangeably. (The term CANZUK was originally a term diplomats used to refer to these four countries because of how frequently they would vote the same way at the UN.)

Most of the main issues our political parties focus upon are instantly comprehensible to anyone from another CANZUK state. Our laws and constitutions share many features, making trade deals and mutual regulatory recognition a relatively straightforward matter. Our citizens enjoy a roughly similar per capita GDP (which is just not true of the other Commonwealth nations with similar constitutions) and face few hurdles in integrating into another CANZUK country’s labour market. Our societies are peaceful and orderly.

And in our modern globalized world, we see that we are much more similar to each other than we are to others. The challenges of dealing with Japanese or Chinese business partners can be overcome, but they cannot be denied. Continental Europeans have different foibles, different goals and different priorities from ours, as well as importantly different legal and constitutional challenges. The arrival of President Trump reminds us of just how different from us many parts of the U.S. really are, and always have been.

Furthermore, while the U.S., the EU and China can all make valuable trading partners in their different regions, each CANZUK state that encounters them is regionally overmatched and, standing alone, will inevitably be dominated. Working together though, exploiting our natural affinities and the world of mass communication, high-value services and rapid transit, CANZUK can allow us stand our ground and project our own values and agendas.

The post-Cold-War alliances and assumptions are obsolete. NAFTA is dead. The EU will soon lose one of its largest members. Trump might downgrade NATO, abandon the WTO and even diminish the UN. It’s tempting, in a world of change, to try to cling to as much of the old certainties as possible. But if we look up and out, something new beckons. Free trade, free movement and a new security partnership between countries of shared culture and natural affinity. CANZUK is the global deal of tomorrow.

Dr. Andrew Lilico, born in New Zealand but based in London, is executive director and principal of Europe Economics, a fellow of the Institute of Economic Affairs, and chairman of the IEA Monetary Policy Committee.

[God’s Got A Plan For You!

I’d Never Want To Be US President…Even If I Could

I cannot imagine today a more thankless job than President of the United States of America.

While I do appreciate all of the kind words and comments of encouragement for me to seek the highest office in the land (and there have been exactly ZERO of those so far), I feel I simply must decline the opportunity (though such a chance does not exist, as I was born and live currently in Canada).  And I wanted to share with the millions of you out there reading this (well, there might be 50 if I’m lucky) why I cannot be your President (hypothetically, as again, it’s not actually possible).

Dear reader – hold your tears, your shouts of disappointment and your calls to reconsider, until I have finished explaining why.  It just might encourage those in the United States who can fix such things to begin making repairs to the US political system, so that highly-qualified people like myself (which is probably categorically untrue) would consider applying for the job – rather than the same tired old raging pinheads that often find this type of role exciting and meaningful …to them.  And they are tired and old – they’ve been running on this hamster wheel far past their expiration dates. Which is why they always have such dead eyes.

I get it, you’re disappointed that I don’t want to become a future President – or Prime Minister somewhere – if that opportunity also came up somewhere.

But take no offense to my words, unless of course I meant to offend, and in that case, I’ll point it out to you, so that you may be properly triggered as you see fit.  I want to be an equal opportunity irritant.  And “Being An Irritant” is in fact my established goal for this piece.  Thank you for therefore for being triggered as you see fit, if you felt so inclined at some point.

I take it as a high compliment indeed.  But no need to tell me about it in the comments – just know that I would be delighted to hear of it if you did tell me… and if I cared to read about it.  Did that sound insensitive?  Oh yes, I should mention – I can be a bit insensitive.  Though if you did know me at all, by now you’d also know that this blog isn’t a safe space for liberals, the triggered, social justice warriors, whiners, Antifa, Black Lives Matter, or other vaious snowflakes in all their shapes, sizes, colors and genders.  So you read it at your own discretion.

Coming back to my main point – there is not a chance in Heaven or Earth that I would want to be the president of United States of America, even if it was given to me by accident or I inherited it without having to campaign for three minutes.  Because that is literally about my limit of interest in trying for same position.

Oh I know some people would say: yeah right! As if you would give up something like living in the White House, and all of the trappings of the presidency – the limousine, Air Force One, all the opportunities to meet famous people that you would have, getting to travel all over the world and speak to huge crowds everywhere you go. Being adored by at least 50% of the population that elected you (unless your “approval rating” fell below 50%).

And I could never have a job that had an approval rating that was determined by some very unstable people at times out there.  Nor would I want to have to apply for my job and have 110 million people or so deciding on whether I get the job.  And then having to reapply for it again in less than 4 years – paying up to a $1 billion to run for a job that I would make about $400,000 a year doing.  Return on Investment (ROI) seems a bit off there.

Having the power to make a real difference in your country – your words having the ability to actually help heal people, give people jobs, give people hope, inspire future generations, protect them against the threats of natural and man-made disasters, and defend them in a time of war against hostile enemies.  Now that would be cool.  But the President of the United States rarely gets to do any of that stuff, except in the movies, before we go to kick butt with some alien invasion force.

True, your words would muster and command a combined armed forces with;

  • The nuclear launch codes that control over 6,800 nuclear missiles strategically placed around the world
  • Control over the operation of 800 military bases in 79 countries around the world including the United States itself, of course, which would be staffed by:
    • 170,000 soldiers on active duty in 150 countries around the world, with another 40,000 on classified missions that no one has ever publically heard about in undisclosed locations
    • 384,544 soldiers/officers in the Army
    • 273,192 sailors/officer in the Navy
    • 146,638 Marines
    • 255,181 Air Force personnel
    • 36,900 Coast Guard officers
  • And all that amazing equipment, like those on the sea:
    • 20 active aircraft carriers, including the brand new USD Gerald R Ford, commissioned in July 2017, and the George HW Bush, at about $5 billion each.  Getting your name on something like THAT would be pretty cool, as just seeing it approach on the horizon would most likely cause your enemies to wet themselves with fear – and I’ve always thought that kind of power to be rather addicting, should one possess it.
    • 10 frigates
    • 65 destroyers
    • 66 submarines
  • Over 4,000 Abrams tanks parked in the desert, excess from current needs. (Credit: WN.com )

    Those on land, including:

    • 9,000 tanks, including 4,000 brand-new M1 Abrams tanks sitting in the Nevada desert that are entirely unnecessary excess, as a result of having one factory that makes them, and they don’t want to ever shut it down, for national security reasons.
    • 38,822 armored personnel vehicles
    • 950 self-propelled artillery
    • 795 towed artillery
    • 1197 rocket launchers
    • 2,830 attack jets
    • 1,962 fighter/a
    • 973 attack helicoptersAnd in the not-so-friendly skies above, like:

Having that kind of firepower around would certainly make one’s job easier as President, but it’s a lot of pressure to pay those kind of bills for gas, groceries and guys!  Ok there are girls too…

It’s a thankless job to have to be leader of the Free World. Because the world is not Free, it has cost an awful lot in dollars, blood and time to build it over the centuries.  And the problems a President faces – a $20 trillion debt?  I have had moments worrying about paying my $300 Mastercard bill at times.  That’s just beyond ridiculous to know that you will start the PResidency buried in debt, and just keep adding to it until the end of your term – because America just can’t pay its bills.  And some day a President is going to have to deal with THAT too, or countries like China, that hold about $7 trillion in US debt, will deal with it for America.

And Americans are often sick without health care, go through natural disasters without insurance, are often send to war without adequate troops and resources, and usually are n the sights of some terrorist who hates America.  Because it’s cool to hate America today, it seems.  Who wants to be leader of a country that no one likes?  That makes international meetings like the United Nations feel like being on the school yard as a kid, and never getting picked to play sports, though you are the gargantuan kid in class who grew 2 feet faster than anyone else.

And you’d be President over a lot of people that you frankly find a hard time stomaching.  The hatred in these Divided States of America is quite shocking.  And no, I’m not talking about your standard Right-wing hatred, which the media seems to be completely stuck on, though it’s frankly not a “thing” as much as they want it to be.  Though the Right does hate the MEDIA, so I guess there’s some truth to it.

It’s the Left that’s vandalizing Bank of America branches and smashing windows, then looting Starbucks.  it’s Black Lives Matter that’s burning cities down – that they later realize they actually LIVE IN as well.  Being President over stupid people, no matter what their politics, is really a downer.

Now add to that a crowd of 20,000 people in a stadium, and the president comes out to a sea of people all around him, the lone object on a stage and often with light dimmed through the building, while spotlighting him at the same time.

“The President? No…we work for the guys who tells the President what to do.”

My goodness, it’s like the Secret Service is trying to make such an attack as easy as possible. Certainly they must realize that they cannot protect him completely – and that when he is potentially involved in a shooting, for example, that jumping on him doesn’t stop an attack be or protect him from all of those people. It just hurts to be hit where you were hit. LOL

There is no way that they would even be able to see an event like that unfold before. That just screams “assassination” to me.

The fact that so many would want to even attempt to kill him and also have this open freedom to express their opinion about it online, Giving some other less stable individual ideas they shouldn’t normally have, is frightening. And in most cases the people that killed a president didn’t even pay for the crime in jail – they were killed themselves or something else before that happened. So there really isn’t much of her justice for the murder of a President.

People rarely contact you at your office when your President because they like you. It’s usually to express sorrow to you on behalf of their government, which means you’re already dealing with some hardship that you don’t really want to hear about from anybody else.

Or some president or prime minister who has the balls to complain to you about the things that they don’t agree with you on from other governments – People that you often or even financially supporting through for federal aid of some kind and yet went to chips fall they’re nowhere near to help you when you need it

US presidents have fans too, I guess but most of the people that gather outside of the stadium or five meeting that you’re attending aren’t there because they like you. Often, those people wouldn’t be that motivated – it’s because they actually literally hate you.  I consider myself to be fairly able to handle criticism, but to never be able to read in the newspaper or watch TV or go online without without seeing some negative story about you online or in print or on video would suck the life out of me

Then there’s family – I’m a be mentally or emotionally or physically ready to be president and go through all the scrutiny and all the unfair criticism and all the negative press and all the lies and Tristan up the words – I need to prepare for that emotionally, physically or mentally – but not all of your friends or family members have signed up for that.

Then there is your image before you became president. People want to vote for you for reason and usually it’s because you’re a good communicator and you say things that they resonate with. My problem is that I have a very active Twitter account with over 34,500 tweets, read by my 7000+ followers and over 8,000,000+ some other people total over four years. Some of those are highly controversial, to be sure,  And they were meant to be. I am proud of my belief system because I feel I’m on the right side of history and it took me years to get there. I wouldn’t be editing any of that just so I don’t trigger someone in Iowa.

But in order to be president, you have to have such a sanitized belief system and all, that you no longer are who they knew in the first place. Or if they’ve just met you for the first time, they think you are something that you absolutely don’t agree with under the tables. But suddenly you believe in gun-control because you want to New Hampshire female vote, or you suddenly feel led to support the tobacco industry because you want those South Carolina suburban/rural votes – and you may not even dress the way that you feel like dressing. I’m in shorts and T-shirts guy, jeans at best, and I just can’t see myself wearing a suit in every single situation publicly. If I present United States why can’t they wear whatever the hell I want – which accounts. Because you really aren’t the most powerful person in the world. The voter in that swing state that you’re trying to impress is. And they could just be the scariest redneck weirdo you’ve ever seen in your life in real life.

So I just wouldn’t fit the norm. It would suck the life out of me.

So in conclusion, I just wouldn’t want to be President. I’m sorry that this may disappoint some of you, though of course I’m Canadian so I couldn’t be if I wanted to. That didn’t stop a particular Kenyan before, but I digress. America – make it easier for a person to want to be President. It’s the highest office and should be a difficult job to compete for and win – but are we actually seeing the only people in America who are qualified for the job, actually getting the job?  Ummm, no

[God’s Got A Plan For You!]

RIP: Dr. Charles Krauthammer

Three hours ago, the heartbreaking news broke on the Fox News, Newsmax, and the Washington Post – followed by all of the other mainstream media outlets. One of the greatest giants of conservative politics, and a journalistic genius, had passed away.

Dr. Charles Krauthammer, 68, has been an inspiration to millions of conservatives for decades including myself.  His life story is just one run-on sentence of tenacity, bravery, patriotism and common sense values that has made him a trusted journalist, and one of my greatest heroes.  Fox News called him tonight “a longtime Fox News contributor, Pulitzer Prize winner, Harvard-trained psychiatrist and best-selling author who came to be known as the dean of conservative commentators”.

I would add “and my hero” to that list of accolades.  I mourn his death tonight, and I feel a sense of loss already that his wisdom will no longer be available for people like myself to learn from.

And I’m thankful for his life.  And what a life it was.

The venerable Charles Krauthammer, a regular contributor on Fox News. (Credit: Fox News) He was a regular panelist on the Fox News’ Bret Baier newscast,  We all watched with concern in the last year as we saw him periodically struggle with breath, gulping for air as he looked more and more uncomfortable in his wheelchair, physically slowing down a bit over time.

But Dr. Charles Krauthammer’s mind was always racing at 100 miles an hour, and when he opened his mouth, I’m so thankful that it was one body part that never failed him.  And it changed the world.

Irving Charles Krauthammer was born in Manhattan on March 13, 1950, and at 5 settled in Montreal with his father and mother, Jewish refugees from Europe. In Canada, his dad prospered as a real estate executive. Charles, the younger of two sons, graduated first in his class at Montreal’s McGill University in 1970 with a degree in political science and economics. He then spent a year studying political theory at the University of Oxford.

Ironically, he quickly got very tired and disillusioned with politics of student revolution on campus, so he abruptly switched course to pursue medicine. That discipline, he later wrote, “promised not only moral certainty, but intellectual certainty, a hardness to truth, something not to be found in the universe of politics.

It would also be a decision that would change his life forever, in ways he hadn’t planned.

A young, athletic Charles Krauthammer, just months before his tragic accident would leave him paralyzed. (Credit: Fox News) As a first-year medical student at Harvard Medical School, he went swimming one afternoon in a local Boston pool on Summer break. Having completed two dives, he took a third into the pool – but this time, for reasons unknown, he hit his head on the bottom of the pool.  He had been studying neurology that week and said he “knew exactly what happened the second it happened.”

He felt nothing as his spine was severed, imprisoning him in an non-functional lower body, in a wheelchair, for the remainder of his life – though ironically, also developed in him the strongest of backbones when writing and speaking about the issues of the day.

He was visited one day in the hospital by one of the dean’s in the medical program, who said they were happy to offer him an absence from the program as needed. Krauthammer told the dean that if he left now, he’d never come back, and received permission from the program to study in his hospital room for the next 14 months during his recovery, taking all of his exams orally, as he hadn’t yet learned how to write again.  He would later regain the use of his arms, which assisted tremendously with his writing.

Krauthammer, the Pulitzer-winning powerhouse at the Washington Post. (Credit: Getty Images)He never wavered, never stumbled, never led anyone astray.  I often waited for him to appear on Fox News in order to know what to really make of things going on in the news of the day, and I had so many “ah ha” moments with him – I now consider him to be one of my mentors.  His journalism was never tainted, like Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham and others, with personal issues or failures that leaked into his professional life.  And we admired him for staying above the fray.  Married for 42 years and a loving grandfather, he was the epitome of conservative values, both on the page and off-book / off the record.

“History is shaped by its battle of ideas, and I wanted to be in the arena, not because I want to fight, but because some things need to be said. And some things need to be defended.”Dr. Charles Krauthammer

After a brief and slightly strange stint as a speechwriter for Vice President Walter Mondale, he joined the staff of the New Republic in 1981, writing opposition pieces for the liberal magazine which advocated a stronger military budget and anti-Soviet stance, and support for Reagan’s Nicaraguan Contras efforts.

He received a National Magazine Award in 1984 and joined The Washington Post the next year. His books included two essay collections, “Cutting Edges: Making Sense of the Eighties” (1985) and “Things That Matter: Three Decades of Passions, Pastimes and Politics” (2013) – the latter of which instantly became a New York Times bestseller, remaining in the number one slot for 10 weeks, and on the coveted list for nearly 40.

Dr. Krauthammer won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary in 1987 for his work for the Washington Post.  Working for liberal newspapers most of his career sharpened him, I believe, to become the bulwark of conservative thought that he became over time.  He also  spent decades as a panelist on the syndicated public affairs talk show “Inside Washington.”

Jacob Weisberg on Wall Street in 2012. (Credit: Grace Villamil)The Left had a hard time with him as they couldn’t help respecting him.  A former leftist columnist at the New Republic, Jacob Weisberg, said that during his time at their magazine:

“Politically, Charles made a right turn that most others at the magazine didn’t follow. But I think his old colleagues not only liked him a great deal personally but admired him as a principled conservative — today an endangered species. After Charles, it takes another big step toward extinction.”

On June 8, 2018, in a statement broadcast around the world through Fox News, Dr. Krauthammer announced that he had undergone surgery in August 2017 to remove a cancerous tumor in his abdomen. While thought to be successful, he said there were complications that he was overcoming. However, he wrote recent tests revealed the cancer has returned and is “spreading rapidly.”  He was off the air on Fox News for the past 10 months, during this attempt to recover.

He was never to return to the network again.

Rest in Peace, to a great warrior of conservative principles, a trusted advisor to millions, and a true hero that believed in something important, and never changed his mind again.  We are changed because of it.

Canada’s Reputation Nose Dive

In 2017, just three days before Canada’s 150th birthday on July 1, the Reputation Institute announced its annual list of the World’s Most Reputable Countries.  In what seemed to be an early birthday present from the world, Canada once again reached the illustrious spot of the #1 Most Reputable Country on Earth.

This morning (June 21, 2018), the Reputation Institute announced its annual list of the World’s Most Reputable Countries for 2018.  And for the first time in 6 years, we weren’t #1 or #2 on Earth.  Today, we have the privilege of being #7.

I blame the Liberal government and Justin Trudeau squarely for this outrageous drop in our global reputation. And I’m spitting furious about it.

Everything that the mentally and socially-retarded “Golden Boy”, @Justintrudeau, touches these days turns to lead, not gold.  Apparently, this now includes Canada’s reputation on the world stage.

The Reputation Institute‘s popular “RepTrak” listing of national reputations on the world stage has become a bigger and bigger event every year.  Every year, the Institute polls conducts a giant survey of over 58,000 people living in G7 countries, asking them who they believe to be the “most trusted nation on Earth” out of the top 55 economies of the world.

Canada has done very well for itself over the past number of years:

Credit: Reputation Institute, 2017 Country RepTrak Report2017 – #1
2016 – #2 (Sweden was #1)
2015 – #1
2014 – #2 (Switzerland was #1)
2013 – #1
2012 – #1
Credit: Reputation Institute, 2018 Country RepTrak ReportOf the G7 nations, whose residents vote for most reputable nation, Canada has the smallest population of them all.  So we didn’t stack the deck with votes.  In fact, it means that, in the past, people from the other 6 nations must have voted for us more than for their own country.

Our ranking score in 2018 was 79.2.  It was 82.8 in 2017.  Why does this drop matter?  In 2017, when we were named #1, Lonely Planet’s website named us the best place in the world to visit that year. That’s an actual tourism boost, with all the dollars related to it, just for ranking higher in this annual survey.  In fact, the Reputation Institute did an analysis of 72 of the top 100 countries in the rankings over the course of a year, and determined that the following on average was true:

Credit: Reputation Institute, 2018 Country RepTrak Report So this isn’t just some popularity contest, and it MATTERS if we rank lower. It costs us actual exports and actual tourism dollars to have dropped so low.  OUR REPUTATION MATTERS around the world.

In fact, for us to drop to such a low point as #7 in the annual ranking is highly significant, as it shows that our reputation in the eyes of the residents of our own nation, as well as the United States, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Japan, has plummeted over the past year.

Now, I don’t at all dispute the other nations’ deserving of the rankings they have this year.  We all love Australia, and New Zealand as the Commonwealth sisters that they are.  And while it is interesting to see the entire Scandinavian region in the top 10 – Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark, it’s not overly surprising.

What is (not) surprising is WHY we dropped so far.  In a nutshell, the Reputation Institute blames…our federal government.

Look no further than the “costumes” (according to locals) worn by our idiot Prime Minister, Justa TrueDope, along with Mr. Dress-up’s entire family, when travelling to India earlier this year, as the Toronto Star headline screamed:

Indian politician Omar Abdullah took to Twitter with a collage of the Trudeau family in their colourful attire, touching their hands and bowing their heads in the namaste gesture.

“Is it just me or is this choreographed cuteness all just a bit much now? Also FYI, we Indians don’t dress like this every day, sir, not even in Bollywood.” (Omar Abdullah, Indian politician)

Earlier in the week, Trudeau’s office rescinded an invite to a convicted Canadian Sikh extremist to a reception in Delhi.  That caused no small amount of embarrassment and fury at home, when he attempted to blame the Surrey Centre MP (himself a Sikh) for arranging the meet and greet between the Prime Minister and this convicted terrorist.  NO ONE was buying it.

Then there was the debacle recently with the United States over trade disputes, and Trudeau’s pissy 12-year-old school girl responses to Donald Trump’s legitimate concerns over various subsidies we provide – the recent “Supply Management” debacle in Quebec with dairy farmers, which will cost us all more for the grocery staple called MILK, being one example.

As a result of our government’s dumbass decisions in this regard, the US government slapped tariffs on a few Canadian-made or produced items.  Trudeau’s “Mean Girls” monologue following this was embarrassing to witness – and infuriating – as he responded in kind with tariffs of his own.

Let’s get real for a moment about Canada/US trade.

Canada is the #10 largest economy in the world.  We used to be the United States’ largest trading partner, but no more – China has taken that illustrious spot.  According to the US. Census Bureau, in 2017, we did we currently do about $581.5 billion worth of trade in goods with the US, with the US selling us $282.2 billion worth of goods, and buying $299.3 billion from Canada. That, however, is only a small fraction of the United States’ current GDP of about $23.76 trillion.

If Canada stopped doing trade with the United States, the #1 economy in world history by far, the United States would survive.  We buy only 18% of the US’ goods. The US would survive a trade war with us.  They would suffer a serious recession, however, which would impact on all their other global partners, who are our global partners as well.

If the United States stopped doing trade with Canada, however, Canada would sent into the Stone Ages.  The US buys 76% of everything we sell.  One doesn’t recover from that loss of customer.  One is economically destroyed.

At the recent G7 summit in Montreal, Trudeau (the “hostess with the mostest”) decided that the best way to treat house guests is to stab them in the back as soon as they leave – in the news media.  President Trump had just taken off on Air Force One to Singapore to meet North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, when Trudeau began to bad-mouth the President behind his back, in a disgusting, classless display.

Trudeau apparently didn’t have the balls to do it to Trump’s face.  He also didn’t have the intelligence to understand that there are televisions on Air Force One.  Trump launched a string of verbal attacks in response – and the Canadian dollar plummeted by 0.19 of a US cent, to 76.96 cents US, after Trump called Trudeau “dishonest” and “weak.”  Trump then refused to sign the G7 Summit declaration, a slap to the face of the goon running our country.

In my opinion, the prissy little queen, Trudeau, actually deserved a punch to the throat.

And so now here we are, on the first day of Summer, learning that the world just doesn’t like Canada as much as it used to.  Individual Canadians did absolutely nothing to make that happen.  Neither did provincial governments for the most part.  No, this falls squarely on the shoulders of the idiots in Ottawa.

And there is no greater example than our Crime Minister, Justin Trudeau, the Queen of Farts.

He’s no longer a “useful idiot”, as some have called him in the past.  No, now that he’s ruining our reputation as a country, he’s just a garden-variety idiot.

October 2019, and the next federal election, cannot come fast enough for me – nor for the reputation of this country I love so much.

CNN’s POTUS Approval Ratings SUCK

5446619369bedd2b5b3ecd67-320-619CNN released a new poll today, conducted by Philadelphia pollsters SSRS, showing that President Donald Trump’s approval rating is “holding steady” – and his numbers on handling several key issues are climbing, with almost 6 in 10 Americans say things in Hthat country are going well.

BUT WAIT… this is not GOOD news, CNN anchors “libsplained” today to their pathetically-dwindling but faithful weekday mid-afternoon viewers.  If you don’t already know it, you’ll soon see why this systemic bias, demonstrated against the current President by “the Most Trusted Name In News” …is exactly why they no longer live up to the tagline.

Here’s some truth in advertising: CNN is actually “The Most Busted, Rusted and Crusted Name in News”. (I want them to properly credit me before they start using the new tagline in their regular advertising )

You may laugh or get mad – but in fact, a March 2017 Business Insider report, using data from a 2014 Pew Research Center study entitled “Political Polarization and Media Habits“, did, in fact, prove that CNN is no longer the “most trusted name in news”.  In fact, the American people surveyed felt that their most trusted news sources at that time were all British, with the BBC and the Economist leading the pack.  I would personally concur.

CNN provided yet one more compelling reason today (May 7, 2017), when releasing President Donald Trump’s most recent Presidential approval rating numbers, just why viewers have abandoned leftist American media outlets en masse.

I noticed it right away when Jake Tapper, one of the longer-serving hosts currently on the financially-limping CNN, stated the following on air, regarding the current Trump Gallup approval ratings:

“Brand new CNN poll numbers revealing Americans’ perceptions of the Donald Trump presidency – and they look pretty locked in, while also becoming increasingly nuanced below the surface.  41% approve of the job the president is doing, 53% disapprove.  That’s about the same as it was at the end of March.  Every other elected president of the modern era with the exception of Jimmy Carter had higher approval ratings at this stage of his presidency.”  (Jake Tapper, CNN)

What a pile of RUBBISH. Rasmussen Reports, and other much more reputable pollsters (more on that later) disagree.  @jaketapper is a disingenuous buffoon. The fact that you are so desperate to spin polling numbers as to suggest that every President should have the same approval rating at the same period of their administrations is just about the most irrelevant “amazing statistic” nonsense I’ve ever seen.   I don’t think he’s stupid, but Tapper does say some very dumb things that a person could shoot holes through with very little effort.

Here’s the reality:

  1. No two Presidents have ever faced the same issues during the same period.  What a stupid metric to measure Presidential successes by.  George W. Bush was President for 8 months when the Twin Towers fell, and his approval rating went through the roof, lasted about a week and then it dropped constantly right until the end of his administration.  Franklin Roosevelt was elected in the midst of the Great Depression, so again, of course, he was seen as a hero at a very horrible time in American history.

  2. Every single American President has had a lower approval rating than President Trump has right now – with the exception of Eisenhower and Kennedy (from 1952-1963).

Donald Trump – The REAL Numbers

  • Yes, Trump “held steady” this week over last – a 41% approval rating, according to the Gallup organization.  However, the week before that, he was at 38%.  Sorry, a 3% increase IN A WEEK?  No one is celebrating that in the media of course, because it kills the agenda they have, which is to destroy his reputation.

  • That 41% that he is “holding steady” at is in fact the highest rating he’s had since May 22, 2017 (12 months). In spite of all the nonsense that has been dumped on him day after day after day – simply because he won an election that the left just will not accept.  It’s embarrasing, it’s stupid, it’s child, and frankly it’s destroying America.  Grow up, you whiny little jackasses.

  • The approval rating amongst Democrats is also at a low 13% – but that’s the highest he’s seen since his inauguration.  It was at 50% of that for most of his administration thus far.  THAT is a HUGE win.  In addition, he’s only had 1 month thus far when his Disapproval Rating was LOWER than this. In the new poll, 40% of Democrats say things in the US are going well, up from 25% who said so in February. Democrats’ approval rating for Trump’s handling of the economy is up 11 points to 26%.

  • Overall, 57% say things are going well in the US today — up from 49% saying the same in February — which is the largest proportion to say so since January of 2007.  That’s significant.

Barack Obama:

  • This darling boy of the Democratic Party had 30 weeks at 41% or less, 22 weeks at 42% and 28 weeks at 43%.  While Trump only had 13% amongst Democrats maximum, in 8 years Republicans only showed 14% approval or more with Obama for less than 20 weeks (that’s about 4% of his Presidency).  That by the way included the last 11 weeks of his Presidency, which was when he saw his HIGHEST OVERALL DISAPPROVAL.  You know what that means?  His Republican approval for a few weeks – was only because HE WAS LEAVING.

George W. Bush:

  • Bush dealt with the horrors of 9/11 just 8 months after being sworn in in 2001. Of course his approval ratings would be higher earlier on as a result.  But he had 91 weeks at 41% approval rating (Trump’s rating today) or less.

Bill Clinton:

  • The other darling of the Democratic Party, Bill Clinton, also had his bad moments, which included almost BEING IMPEACHED.  However, in fairness, Clinton had an overall approval rating that only dipped to 41% or lower for 7 weeks, and that included a relatively strong showing amongst Republicans – kind of the mirrored image of Ronald

CNN, by the numbers:

CNN’s polling company is a woeful embarrassment.  In fact, in the results of the most recent survey on Presidential approval, I noticed that on one question – the May 2-5, 2018 approval results, they asked how well things are going in the country.

In the first 3 columns, on the first row, I note that 45% said “Fairly Well and 13% “Very Well”…but somehow this added up to 57% “Net Very/Fairly Well” in this pollster’s world?

Even someone in kindergarten would know that 45% + 13% = 58%

With the publicity campaign of destruction, @CNN, you aren’t winning – that’s clear.  The American economy, based on the job that President Trump has been doing, is winning the day with Americans.

You know damn well that polls can be manipulated, asking whatever questions you want in the way you want, to get the results you want.  Your pollster, however, can’t even seem to properly ADD so all hope is lost there.  The fact you use the same pollster for everything states that they must clearly share your agenda, especially when you both end up so clearly off the mark so often in polling numbers in these Presidential approval surveys, in polling results before and on election day, and now before the mid-term elections.

In fact, RealClearPolitics, which tracks about 20 different polls for Presidential approval, shows CNN has a CONSISTENTLY lower approval rating numbers for President Trump than many of its fellow news sources.  That’s kinda sad, because it’s so obvious.  To continuously put out these kind of random, ridiculously off-based numbers all the time either indicates some kind of shared mental illness, a shared agenda, or a news source that doesn’t get just how badly they are being duped by their pollster.

But CNN “gets it”, alright – in fact, it reminds me (cynically) that “you get what you pay for”.

Final Word: Rasmussen Reports

Rasmussen Reports still chooses to do an update every weekday to the President’s approval rating numbers, unlike the Gallup organization, which suspiciously stopped doing so in January 2018 – right around the time the President’s numbers started to improve, I note.  I also note that Gallup stopped surveying 3,500 people per update, and reduced that to 1,500, while at the same time reducing the update time to weekly.  Rasmussen Reports has been rated by the popular Media Fact Check site as having a “High” factual reporting history.  They state on their site that “now that Gallup has quit the field, Rasmussen Reports is the only nationally recognized public opinion firm that still tracks President Trump’s job approval ratings on a daily basis.

Why does all this matter?  THEIR approval numbers for President Trump for the last week was not 41% as with CNN: It was 49%.

Again, I hear you asking – “why does this matter”?  Because, dear reader, in the 2016 election campaign between Trump and Clinton – Rasmussen Reports was the only one that got it right.  Had you followed Rasmussen’s findings, as I and many others on the conservative side did before the election, Election Night 2016 was not a surprise to us.  We didn’t have fainting spells over the outcome.  We knew it weeks before it happened.

Rasmussen Reports’ final White House Watch survey showed Democrat Hillary Clinton with a 2.0% Popular Vote lead over Republican Donald Trump.  After all 136+ million U.S. votes were counted, Hillary Clinton, in fact, led the Popular Vote by 2.1%.  In a post-election commentary entitled “Issues Mattered After All,” Rasmussen Reports’ Managing Editor even wrote:

“The media created a false narrative about the 2016 presidential campaign, and most polling reinforced it. Controversy was the name of the media game, most of it focused on Republican Donald Trump, and many media outlets, most prominently the New York Times, and many pollsters were saying a little over a month ago that Democrat Hillary Clinton had already won. But the three daily tracking polls – the Los Angeles Times, IBD/TIPP, and Rasmussen Reports – consistently showed a much tighter race.”

In 2012 (see above), a Fordham University study by Dr. Costas Panagopoulos, who once served in the office of then Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, compared pre-election polling with the results from Election Day. The study ranked 14 organizations – but suspiciously chose to omit the results of Rasmussen Reports. However, after the 2016 election, an American Research Group study found that…

Rasmussen Reports had the highest accuracy among 25 pollsters in the 2016 election.

CNN was so shamed by their accuracy over its pathetic, completely off-the-mark disaster on Election Night, that they have attempted to discredit in an article in 2017.  But results speak for themselves – when an organization is correct, the one that is so terribly incorrect doesn’t have an argument.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Jake Tapper.  Or whatever you leftists do for fun.

“Coffee Is Black…Not Blonde”

On May 29, 2018, Starbucks will not be accepting your Starbucks coffee cards in payment for that venti coffee frappuccino double-double with two scoops of ice and blended with extra whip, that you love so much.  In fact, they won’t be accepting your orders at all that day.  Why?  Because management has decided that it’s more important to instead play the race card with all 157,000 employees, at all 8,000 stores in the United States.  One question remains – once the leftist social justice warriors are finished with this latest example of corporate virtue signalling gone wild…

…will you ever be able to order your coffee “black” at Starbucks again?

Police officers stand guard in front of a Center City Starbucks in Philadelphia as protesters demonstrate on April 16 (Credit: Reuters/Mark Makela). News headlines today (May 2, 2018) across America bleated the fact that the largest coffee company in the world reached a financial settlement with two black men that they recently had arrested at one of their stores last month.

On April 12, the two men, Donte Robinson and Rashon Nelson, were awaiting a third person for a business meeting at one of the company’s Philadelphia locations, when one of them asked a staff member if he could use the restroom.  The store manager refused, stating that the facilities were for paying customers.  The men had planned to order a coffee, but were simply waiting for the third man to join them – even offering to have the third man speak to the manager on the phone, to confirm he was on the way.

However, she asked them several times to purchase something or to please leave – having had many similar experiences with people before of every color.  When they refused to leave, she perhaps over-reacted when she called the police to have the men removed from the store.  Of course, the police could have refused to do so, if they actually thought it was a nuisance call.  But they didn’t.

The two men arrested at the Philadelphia Starbucks in April. (Credit: Jacqueline Larma, AP)And it begs the obvious question – why didn’t the two just buy a coffee to shut her up?  Her request was not unreasonable – many restaurants have an obvious “buy something or get out” policy – and why shouldn’t they?  The fact that they even had the police called on them and STILL DIDN’T buy something, says to me they were just deadbeats.

That particular staff member is no longer a Starbucks employee.  The fact this was so blown out of proportion was not her fault – it was escalated by the two men’s lack of purchasing an item in the store, as requested on several occasions.  It was the CEO’s comments and charges of racism concerning her and her actions, and the massive over-reaction with this racism training day, that caused the most problems. Frankly, it might give her grounds for a classic employment standards lawsuit. I kind of hope it does.

How many times have you been to Starbucks lately, and noted that half the restaurant was filled with university students and other assorted, unwashed vagrants who were there for the free Wi-Fi and weren’t drinking or eating anything either?  It’s an annoying commonality – to the point that I personally avoid the stores like the plague if at all possible.  So clearly Starbucks has some corporate culture issues they need to address with their “clientele” as well – not just blaming staff for being racist, when that was not the real issue here.

Melissa DePino, a Starbucks customer who recorded the video of the arrest that went viral on social media, said:

“These guys never raised their voices. They never did anything remotely aggressive . . . I was sitting close to where they were. Very close. They were not doing anything. They weren’t.”

Starbucks’ CEO Kevin Johnson in happier, more rational times. (Credit: Starbucks) Yes, we know – that’s the problem. At the point it started to escalate, they should have been BUYING A COFFEE.  But they didn’t.

And the Starbucks CEO and his weasel statements didn’t help either.  “I want to thank Donte and Rashon for their willingness to reconcile,” CEO Kevin Johnson said in a statement. “I welcome the opportunity to begin a relationship with them to share learnings and experiences. And Starbucks will continue to take actions that stem from this incident to repair and reaffirm our values and vision for the kind of company we want to be.

Sigh.  I’m happy to note that in this settlement – each man will a crisp, new… $1.00 bill.  That’s a ONE DOLLAR bill.  An interesting settlement offer from a company that was so concerned about the message that their arrest sent.  But the men obviously started to realize how badly this was starting to look.  I hope.  Regardless, this settlement still doesn’t give enough to buy a coffee of any size at Starbucks, so I hope they plan to bring their wallets next time.

This same CEO wingnut took their “former” employee’s singular over-reaction at one store – and turned it into a cringe-worthy over-reaction at all 8,000 stores nationwide.  It was his brainiac idea to force all staff to go through race sensitivity training.  No no no – it doesn’t matter if, as a Starbucks employee, you don’t have a racist bone in your body.  You are guilty until proven innocent at this nuthouse, I’m sorry to tell you – because all of the employees there apparently suffer from “unconscious bias“, according to the company.

The only thing “unconscious” in this story is the senior management.

I’m positive that the CEO and others advising him thought that this would be a great way to score brownie points (oops, we can’t say that either, I guess) with their mostly left-leaning clientele.  At least, they thought they were left-leaning clientele.  Turns out that a lot of these people were even more offended by Starbucks for this race training plan than if they had just left it alone.  If I worked at Starbucks, I wouldn’t be for long, if someone dared to tell me that I was inherently racist and had to take special training as a result.

Not surprisingly, the news media was all over this story too – and they were equally all over the place in how they covered it as well:

Starbucks’ epic fail after an epic fail.” (Al Jazeera, April 23)
“Why Starbucks shouldn’t be praised for its misguided racism workshops.” (The Guardian, April 18)
“In Starbucks Controversy, America’s Anti-racism Industry Opts for Symbol Over Substance”. (Haaretz, May 2)
“Starbucks’ racial bias training alone won’t fix a racist society (The Conversation, April 24)

It seems the company can’t win with the left or the right.

Of course, the company brought it on themselves.  First they announced that, as part of this racism training, that the Anti-Defamation League was going to be participating.  Leftists freaked out and protested across America, and Starbucks demoted ADL to a consulting role, and named representatives of three prominent African-American-led civil rights organizations to lead the training.

Yet another stupid mistake of Starbucks’ in this whole idiotic scenario.  You may recall that the mission of the ADL is “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.”  How Starbucks can show their face in public after inviting one of the most prominent anti-racism groups in the world – then, in a completely racist move, falling to the howls of the anti-Semitic far left.

Linda Sarsour, also co-chair of the Million Women’s March (and an outrageous anti-Semitic Muslim cow), wrote on Facebook that ADL is “an anti-Arab, anti-Palestinian organization that peddles Islamophobia and attacks America’s prominent Muslim orgs and activists and supports/sponsors US law enforcement agents to travel and get trained by Israeli military.”

So what?  By the way, Libtard Linda, most thinking people in America are against any Muslim group that spouts such hatred.  This is the same woman who famously tweeted: “Nothing is creepier than Zionism”.

No, nothing is creepier than HER.

So then Starbucks appointed Eric Holder, Attorney General under the Obama administration, to run the training day.  They just cannot figure it out.  This is the same guy that suggested in April 2014 that he and President Obama had faced tougher opposition from the Republican right on account of their race.  Oh no, not because of your socialist, anti-American policies that rewarded countries like Iran and insulted allies like Israel.  It couldn’t be because of that.

Racism training is Big Business.  Imagine how much it will cost Starbucks to pay and train 157,000 people for the day (at let’s say 6 hours at $8/hour).  That’s over $7.5 million, plus the lost revenue for the day, and the cost of the trainers – whether they have people at each store, or are watching it on some kind of televised feed – this is costing a fortune.

Of course Black Lives Matter activists jumped all over this story as well, desperate to be included in any news cycle today – let’s face it, most of America were happy to see them in the rear view mirror ages ago, thanks to their antics in cities like Ferguson, Missouri.

Protestor Jack Willis, 26, demonstrates outside a Starbucks on April 15 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Credit: Mark Makela/Getty Images)I think the nonsensical, virtue signalling, leftist crap that Starbucks has stirred up over this situation could not be expressed any better than was seen on a sign held up by one black protestor at an anti-Starbucks rally recently, that said:

“Coffee is BLACK, not Blonde”

NOPE, not correct. And how do people think that they can state such overtly racist and stupid nonsense, while protesting racism, and think they can get away with it?

By the way, “black” coffee is simply the stated preference of a coffee drinker not to have milk or cream in their coffee. Coffee is, in fact, dark brown in color.  “Blonde”, however, is actually a variety of roasted coffee beans that come from Ethiopia, Uganda and on the slopes of the Tacana Volcano in Guatemala.  They are light in color, have smooth, dry surfaces, and are more flavorful and acidic tasting than darker roasts. They are sweeter, and have more caffeine apparently as well.

These are also black, not blonde….Being “blonde”, by the way, is not the opposite of black.  Many Asians, Latinos and even black folks dye their hair blonde as well, as a way of standing out.

40% Don’t Know Auschwitz

A comprehensive national survey was commissioned by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, to determine how much American adults really know about the Holocaust – the results of which were released on April 12, 2018, the global Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day).

You’re not going to like the results.  In fact, you’re not even going to believe the results.

There has been a significant rise in the usage of words like “Nazi” and “fascist” to describe other Americans, and the calling of the President “Hitler” has also grown exponentially.  And is it any wonder, when you hear that most Americans know little to nothing about the actual Holocaust/

Simon Wiesenthal, a Ukrainian Jew who lost most of his family to the Nazi death camps, then hunted down war criminals for the remainder of his life, once said:

When history looks back, I want people to know the Nazis weren’t able to kill millions of people and get away with it.”

I’m sorry to say, Mr. Weisenthal might be very disappointed to hear the major findings of this survey of American adults, which include:

  • Seven out of ten Americans (70 percent) say fewer people seem to care about the Holocaust than they used to
  • A majority of Americans (58 percent) believe something like the Holocaust could happen again

Claims Conference President Julius Berman noted, “On the occasion of Yom Hashoah, it is vital to open a dialogue on the state of Holocaust awareness so that the lessons learned inform the next generation.  We are alarmed that today’s generation lacks some of the basic knowledge about these atrocities.”

The study also found significant gaps in knowledge about the Holocaust:

  • Nearly one-third of all Americans (31%) and more than 4-in-10 Millennials (41%) believe that substantially less than 6 million Jews were killed (two million or fewer) during the Holocaust
  • While there were over 40,000 concentration camps and ghettos in Europe during the Holocaust, almost half of Americans (45%cannot name a single one – and this percentage is even higher amongst Millennials.
  • The vast majority (84%) of American adults believe that the Holocaust took place mostly in Germany.  Yet, here’s the reality – not a single Jew was ever gassed in a camp within Germany.
  • Most Americans (80 percent) have not visited a Holocaust museum

“This study underscores the importance of Holocaust education in our schools,” said Greg Schneider, Executive Vice President of the Claims Conference.  “There remain troubling gaps in Holocaust awareness while survivors are still with us; imagine when there are no longer survivors here to tell their stories. We must be committed to ensuring the horrors of the Holocaust and the memory of those who suffered so greatly are remembered, told and taught by future generations.”

Nothing is more telling of how idiotic people today have become, than to read how the video game Pokemon Go is related to the Holocaust:

America, get your heads out of your collective ass and read a book once in awhile.  You’re starting to look and sound pretty stupid.

The Holocaust Knowledge and Awareness Study was commissioned by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.   Data was collected and analyzed by Schoen Consulting with a representative sample of 1350 American adults via landline, cell-phone, and online interviews.  Respondents were selected at random and constituted a demographically representative sample of the adult population in the United States.

TV Preacher: “Hell Isn’t Real”

As I was looking listings of apartment rentals in my city today, preparing for a move to a new location, I happened to turn on Netflix as background noise – and watched a program that ended up smacking me in the face.  Netflix is no stranger to controversy, and certainly, it has never been accused of being full of too much family-friendly programming.

But now they have financed, written, directed, produced, filmed, edited and now hosted a movie that openly defies the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and makes one of the most prominent heretics of the day a hero.  And in my own little way, I’M FIGHTING BACK

The actor playing former Bishop Carlton Pearson in Netflix’s biopic “Come Sunday”.“Carlton Pearson was one of the most beloved Pentecostal Christian personalities of his generation. Thousands would fill arenas and churches to hear him sing, preach and inspire. But things dramatically changed when he stood in his megachurch pulpit to proclaim a new doctrine, one that declared that because of Christ, no soul will spend eternity in hell.

So says the biography page of former Bishop Carlton Pearson on his own website.

When I first heard this nonsense in 1998, I honestly wasn’t sure I was reading it correctly.  Here was one of America’s most famous preachers, basically telling us that Hell wasn’t a reality for mankind – that no human being was ever going to go there.

In this “gospel of inclusion”, as he calls it, Pearson is suggesting that Genghis Khan, Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, Idi Amin and a host of other resident evils of this world over the millennia of human history…will all be going to Heaven.  They are there right now.  Can you picture it?  A God so merciful, he lets the most miserable, horrendous people through the gates – including those who cursed God on their last breath before they choked on their own vomit.

Am I on Candid Camera?  This can’t possibly be what he thinks?

Oh Lord, it gets worse.

I hesitated even mentioning the name of this movie, because I pray to God that Netflix loses its proverbial shirt over this blasphemous attack on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and 2,000 years of Christian theology, which they relegate to not having enough “grace” in it. But “Come Sunday”, a 2018 biographical drama of former Bishop Carlton Pearson, stars super-spiritual icons of the Christian faith (cough) Martin Sheen and Danny Glover, and was directed by Joshua Marston, who you may remember from his seminal work in the powerful spiritual films like:

  • “Maria, Full of Grace” (2004):  A 17-year old Colombian girl quits her jobs at a flower plantation when she finds out she’s pregnant by her boyfriend.  She goes to Bogota, the capital of the country, where she is offered a job – as a drug mule.  I think the title “Maria, Full of Blow” is probably more applicable.

  • “Gayby” (2012):  A comedy about a female yoga instructor and her gay best friend from college who decide to have a “gayby” together.  (sigh).  No, it’s really funny.  It says so right in the film’s descr….. yah, it’s crap.

  • “The Forgiveness of Blood” (2011):  I actually started watching some of this movie once, several years ago, about two families in a blood feud in Albania, which affected one of the family’s bread delivery business.  I started watching it.  That was the entire premise of the movie.  Oh, and it was in Albanian of course.  I think – I have no idea what Albanian looks or sounds like.  The movie competed for the “Golden Bear” at the Berlin International Film Festival but won the “Silver Bear” instead.  I’m guessing that like me, that’s the first time in your life you’ve ever heard of that award.

Carlton Pearson used to attract up to 50,000 attendees at his Azusa conferences. That’s all ancient history now.Netflix, you’ve done plenty over the years to attack the church through various means, and its no secret that there’s almost nothing on the subscription-based service today that speaks to the Christian community at large on it.  Yes, you may be lucky enough to walk down a back alley in Netflix and stumble on some Christian gem that perhaps the executives forgot they still had up and playing.  I won’t name them, for fear that may be corrected as soon as I do.

Equally telling was the list of movies that Netflix offered up on my Roku, when I hit the “*” button and chose “View More Like This”:

  • “Tukuram”:  “A child who innocence and devotion set him apart from the other children of his village grows up to be one of the foremost saints of India”.

  • “Rebellious Flower”:  “Propelled by a spirit of gentle rebellion, an inquisitive young man meets a series of mentors who guide his development into the venerable guru Osho”.

  • “10 Questions For the Dalai Lama”: “This fascinating documentary blends an interview with the Dalai Lama with a look back at the spiritual leader’s history and exile.”

  • “Morya”: “Two communities in Mumbai get a final chance to compete with each other in the celebration of the iconic Ganesh Chaturthi festival.”

  • “The State of Marriage”:  “This gripping documentary follows the seminal decades-long fight by three determined lawyers to gain legal recognition of gay marriage in Vermont.”

Carlton Pearson in days gone by. He gave up everything to believe there is no Hell. What a dumbass.Do you see the pattern?  Young revolutionary struggles to find his way, and when he does, he grows up to become a major figure… of a false religion.  The gay marriage one was especially interesting, as Carlton Pearson now openly welcomes gay people to his Church – a UNITARIAN Church in Tulsa.  If you’re not familiar with Unitarian, they believe in everything …and nothing.  They are hardly a church – they are the forerunners of the One World Religion to come.

And Pearson himself is starting to sound sadly like more of the same.  His recent books include “The Gospel of Inclusion”, and “God Is Not A Christian, Nor A Jew, Muslim, Hindu…God Dwells with Us, in Us, Around Us, as Us”.  That last one really did it for me.  His previous church, Higher Dimensions, has now morphed into a new ministry: “New Dimensions/Expanding Consciousness Network”.

That doesn’t sound New Age at all… (cough)

It was just this kind of situation that the Apostle Paul warned his young protege Timothy about:

1 Timothy 4:1

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”

2 Timothy 4:2-4

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”

“For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.”

“And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

I get it – the doctrine of Hell isn’t popular with some today. No wonder, with so many working their butts off to actually get there. The Cross isn’t popular either, and neither is the Blood. But to now deny that they never existed is more than a bit much. You may be unpopular telling people that without Christ, they are on their way to Hell. Imagine how unpopular you’ll be when they actually get there, and find out you SHOULD have told them, but decided against it.

What kind of unbridled ARROGANCE does one have to possess, to think that somehow they have received some kind of revelation from God that goes against 2,000 years of established Christian doctrine?

And to make themselves look like a martyr for doing so, with assistance from Netflix, is disgusting.  Leading people away from Hell by saying it doesn’t exist is leading people TOO Hell.   I wouldn’t want to be Carlton Pearson on Judgement Day.

Gun Criminals Aren’t In The NRA…

After every mass shooting in the United States, there is a call from the looney Left for the National Rifle Association to be somehow punished or curtailed or stopped altogether from its activities, and it makes no sense.

I’m going to, I hope, slam-dunk this argument for good.  To a Libtard, it won’t make a difference.  But to those of you on the fence, who really just want the gun violence to cease, I hope it’ll make you think.

See this woman to the left of this text?  Her name is “Eye Empress Sekhmet”, and she is now being investigated by local police for declaring open season on killing whites while holding a gun.

Now quick, a show of hands – how many of you believe that she is a card-carrying member of the National Rifle Association (hereafter known as the NRA)?  Anyone?  Anyone?

No one EVER would assume that.  Yet, the moment a violet mass-shooting takes place in the United States, who is vilified first in the media – people like the NRA, who have their own views on the use and ownership of guns in the United States, or this racist cow packing heat?  And it may not even be HER heat – at the risk of sounding racist, the guy she may have stolen it from might be really happy that she showed her face in public, so he knows where to get his stolen gun back from.  That member of the NRA that got his gun stolen, that is.

Oh, now some of you are triggered, and you’re going to go haywire in the comments.  Save your fingers for important pursuits like breaking and entering, or whatever you gun thugs do in your spare time.  I’ll just delete dumb comments before they are published anyway.  This isn’t a free speech zone – get your own blog if you want to rant about stupid crap with no thought process behind it.

So, if Miss Stable Mable here goes postal in a 7-11 and start blowing white people away with that gun that she legally purchased and registered with the proper local authorities (which she of course still has the receipt for), which she purchased from a legitimate source after obviously taking a psychological assessment first – which she also obviously passed with flying colors (dear God…) – how many of you would get on TV tonight and rant and rave about the NRA needing to take responsibility for gun crimes in America.

None of you?

Why’s that?

Because you’ll never even know it happened – because none of the news media will ever report it happened.

How do I know this, you ask?  That seems like a racist thing to say, you state?

Here are some facts to shut up the nonsense:

  • 13% of Americans are black, according to the latest estimates from the US Census Bureau.
  • According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics:
    • Black offenders committed 52% of homicides recorded in the data between 1980 and 2008. Only 45% of the offenders were white. Homicide is a broader category than “murder” but let’s not split hairs.
    • 93% of black victims were killed by blacks.
    • In 2013, the FBI pegged black criminals with 38% of murders, compared to 31.1% for whites.
  • What about violent crime more generally? FBI arrest rates are one way into this. Over the last three years of data – 2011 to 2013 – 38.5% of people arrested for murder, manslaughter, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault were black – the highest racial group.

Knowing all this, one question, and be honest with yourself:   How many of these were members of the NRA, in your opinion?  50%?  40%?  20%?  10%  5%?  Try closer to ZERO PERCENT.  The crimes were mostly committed by street thugs in gangs, who were either attacking rival gangs or robbing innocent people, etc.

So what is the NRA being blamed for all of America’s gun crimes for?  Shouldn’t we be focusing on the black community and figure out what’s going on there?  Nah, that’s racist.  Let’s focus on the NRA, whose membership is mostly middle-aged white men…

…because… that’s… not… racist?

Recently, I was asked yet another of the “stupid questions” I often get on Quora:

And this was my answer:

That wouldn’t keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill – if the NRA revoked the person’s membership, that wouldn’t stop them from getting a gun regardless. Not too many people that are mentally ill, and have a desire to become a mass murderer, are going to want to register their gun ownership with a public group like the NRA anyway. What possible benefit would that have in doing that?

The NRA doesn’t give gun permits, nor are they the national regulator of who gets to have a gun and who doesn’t. The NRA is there to teach safety and to ensure that the 2nd Amendment is protected against people who would very much love to remove guns from citizens – namely the government that the Second Amendment allowed citizens to arm themselves against in the first place.

Mass shooters are not generally NRA members. In fact, I have yet to hear of a single case where that was so. So why is the focus on the NRA in the first place? And why is there always this nonsensical push for gun control when such a situation arises? Criminals don’t give a damn about gun control – they won’t be registering their guns, and if they have connections, they won’t care whether they can buy an Uzzi at a gun show or not. The people that criminals buy guns from are OTHER CRIMINALS – who aren’t going to give a rip about psychological assessments and 14-day waiting periods either.  Criminals can likely buy a gun off the back of a truck whenever they want. It’s called the “black market” for a reason – it’s not generally something that you’re going to see in the light of day.

NRA members are Americans that register their guns, know how to properly use them and store them, and will be the first people you would look to for ASSISTANCE if a nation like Russia ever attempted to invade the US through Canada, for example – which sounds far-fetched, but of course so was the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, the Ukraine and host of other nations over the last 70 years. They would be the first person you would look to if your own government ever decided to become dictatorial. I’ve heard a significant number of misguided and neurotic people accusing Trump of being a fascist, after all.  NRA should be welcomed in the region, not attacked – they could be the only thing someday that saves your life.

I guarantee you, if the NRA were legally forced to shut down tomorrow across America, as some ill-founded plan to reduce gun crime – you would quickly find that you didn’t reduce gun crime one bit. Gun criminals aren’t in the NRA. Get your head out of your proverbial and realize that gun crime in America is caused by inner-city black, Latino and Asian thugs in gangs, for the most part, and by the mafia, Hells Angels, and other more organized crime groups.
The NRA is full of farmers and hunters and gun collectors, police officers, and veterans who keep their noses clean, pay their taxes and have the proper knowledge and respect for the power of firearms to keep them perfectly safe in their environ.
It’s time for America to find a legitimate bogeyman that’s actually the culprit, and stop blaming the NRA for gun crimes they didn’t commit.  The NRA has been actively been fighting against crime by demanding more police and/or armed guards in schools, for example, which the Left always mocks as well.
NRA members do not blindly LOVE Guns and everything associated with them. They do not love war, violence, poaching of wildlife, or the idea of having to defend their life or the lives of loved ones with a firearm. What they love and fight to keep is freedom! The Second Amendment represents the right to be free to defend ourselves, our families, our property and our COUNTRY with the same tools that would threaten it. It also protects invaluable traditions like hunting and shooting sports that bond families, build character and cultivate our love of the outdoors. The right to keep and bear arms is the Second Amendment for a reason, it is that important. It provides us the freedom to protect all threats to the Constitution and the natural rights it guarantees.
In conclusion, you want to fight gun violence?  Good, because Black Lives Matter.
UPDAeTE:  February 24, 2018
Delta Airlines and United Airlines have both issued statements this morning that they no longer will provide NRA members with discounts on their travel to their annual convention.
Wow, you have really taken a bite out of gun crime now! Good on you two airlines for figuring out how to lose millions of good customers with one stupid message, when you could least of all afford it.
If only every company in America followed your example…. you’d all be bankrupt.  Something that the socialist jackasses that you have been listening to,  have been trying to propagate against you capitalist dumbasses for a long time now.  Congratulations, you just played into their hands.
Oh and by the way, these left-wing whack jobs that you took your financial direction from this morning – they don’t fly. In fact, statistically, I bet they never leave the comfort of their grandma’s basements.  And/or the celebrities who cry about the environmental impacts, and protest the NRA, ALWAYS fly private, NEVER fly commercial with your “unwashed masses” of passengers.
The NRA members, who are all for the most part upper-middle-class, middle-aged white man with a good income? You’ve just pissed off 5 million of them, and their millions of college-aged children and grandchildren.
And people like me who aren’t even American, but believe what the NRA stands for, thinks you are just playing the SJW card in the wrong poker game, and who has a big enough audience (23,000 followers today in 125 countries) to make some small impact.  In the cutthroat dollars and cents business of airline travel, that might be all that’s required.
AND NOW, I have a message to the cuckolding virtue signalling a-holes at #UnitedAirlines and #DeltaAirlines:
If you have booked a flight with either airline, cancel it today if you have insurance and get a flight on an airline with some common sense.
If they’re too stupid to figure out financially what’s up and what’s down, it’s time they both went DOWN.  One less US airline with crappy service and insolence for their customers is no loss.  Maybe Americans will finally have more competitive fares when one or both are GONE.
If they’re too stupid to even get out of bed in the morning, they certainly aren’t going to be trustworthy to get your plane up in the air.

Dow’s Downfall – The Devil’s In The Details

Is the “Devil in the details” in this stock market tumble?(Credit: Getty Images)In the past two consecutive trading days, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has suffered some of its most monumental losses ever. If you were like me, you likely had no idea anything was wrong – that is, until several “Breaking News” emails mentally “woke” me just after 4:30 PM yesterday (Monday, February 5), announcing that the New York Stock Exchange had just closed for the day, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 1,175 pointsthe biggest one-day points drop in American financial history.

I’ll admit, for the most part, I don’t really care what’s happening on Wall Street.  But this story hit like a punch in the face.  At first, I didn’t even know why.  Oddly, the minute I read the headline, I thought “this is fake news” – something this dramatic couldn’t possibly be happening by accident.  Someone, somewhere was orchestrating this.  But then I thought how impossible that would be – the markets are too big to be influenced by one man or one series of events.  It was all just a fleeting impression, like a puff of smoke here and gone.  In fact, I found the CNN article to be pretty boring, and was about to close the window on my laptop that held the article.

I suddenly had an experience that was akin to someone grabbing me by the shoulder and whispering loudly in my ear, “NO, read a little further!”  I had an urgent compulsion to learn more, even though the subject didn’t interest me.  It’s hard to describe in words, but it was very odd.  So I went through two more dreary paragraphs detailing how this current financial issue had started to unfold, and why.  Nope, still wasnt interesting me.

But paragraph four made my blood run cold,  I got goosebumps up and down my spine and literally dropped my laptop beside me on my bed and stared blankly at the wall for a moment – because after reading the last two words of that paragraph, an absolute FLOOD of thoughts and impressions all hit me at once as to the significance of this event.  In fact, the writer himself even stated, rather sarcastically, that perhaps “the devil is in the details” as, for the first time in (a rather unlucky-numbered) 13 months, the Dow Jones industrial average is down dramatically [on Friday, February 2], having lost an eerie…

666 points.

For the past 12 hours since reading that article, I have been greatly disturbed by this story.  I slept for about 2 hours last night.  While I cannot explain rationally what is happening to me, and it makes no sense in the natural,  I know that what happened in New York, starting on February 2, is just the beginning of what will be very dark days on the Earth to come.

If you follow my blog at all, you will recall that I have had several articles now on the fate of the world economy, particularly centered in China.  The Chinese have had staggering losses on their stock market – numbers so huge that it’s really difficult to relate to them.

Read Further:

China’s World Record Stock Market Tumble
(October 30, 2017)
was introduced to the world on Shanghai’s stock exchange just 10 years ago.  Recently, it has begun to drop like a stone on the same exchange – losing a world-record $800 billion in market value – an amount which could purchase every listed company on Italy’s stock exchange, or circle the Earth 31 times with $100 bills.  And it’s only going to get worse.”

China Stocks Drop $3.2 Trillion in Just 3 Weeks
(July 8, 2010)
“Shanghai Composite stock market – the second largest in the world – over the last 3 weeks has tumbled by more than 32%, shedding an astronomical $3.25 trillion of value – and nothing they do to stem the tide seems to help.  To put it in perspective, that amount is equivalent to France’s entire stock exchange valuation, or 60% of Japan’s. What has happened in the last 3 weeks in China would be the equivalent value of 13 Greek loan defaults.   If the Chinese didn’t already have the 2nd largest economy on earth, this would have easily destroyed them beyond repair.”

But that couldn’t happen in America, right?  The Dow had been steadily climbing over the past year to its most recent dizzying heights above 26,000 points – a meteoric rise which for many of us has tangibly demonstrated the positive effects of the election a year ago, and the current administration, of US President Donald Trump.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was first published in 1898 as an index of 12 stocks.  The market stood at 17,888.28 on November 4, 2016.  That means that for each of the 118 years of the DJIA, it rose about 152 points.  For the last year, it rose to Dow’s highest closing record of 26,616.71 on January 26, 2018 – or 8,728.43 in the last year alone.  That’s a remarkable 57 times more per year than in the last century.

To say that this market increase under Donald Trump isn’t significant is idiotic.  Stock markets do not deal in ancient history, and they certainly are not reacting or growing over a year after President Obama left office, based on what he has done in the last 8 years.  In fact, here are the growth rates of the stock market over the last few Presidents, since the Inauguration Day of each:

President Opening OpenDate Closing CloseDate Change +/-
Donald Trump 19,732.40 2017-01-20 26,616.71 2018-01-26 +6,760.98
Barack Obama 8,281.22 2009-01-20 19,732.40 2017-01-20 +11,906.64
George W. Bush  10,587.59   2001-01-20 8,281.22 2009-01-20 -2,638.50
Bill Clinton 3,255.99 1993-01-20  10,587.59 2001-01-20 +7,331.66

I debated several times about not writing this article, because it seemed so flaky to me at first to be interpreting the future events on the stock market based on some lucky or unlucky numbers.  I don’t think that’s entirely the point.  Regardless, at 5:21 AM this morning (Tuesday, February 6), a Scripture verse that I memorized on a Teen Missions trip to Gibraltar when I was 15 years old (35 years ago) came to mind: “Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.” (Hab. 2:2)

I’m no prophet, and I don’t claim to be passing on to you the direct word of God.  But I want you to understand that God speaks to us sometimes through the most unusual means, and there is no such thing as coincidence or chance to the believer.  I also believe that God uses specific symbols and specific numbers and specific measurements to signify Himself in so many different ways.

Therefore, for the stock market to take such an incredible nose dive, and reach a drop of 666 points in a day is not lost on people who understand who understand how God speaks to us.  And for that to be a foreshadowing of the greatest drop in American history, which took place the very next trading day, is also something that cannot be overlooked.  I believe this is a direct warning by God of things to come.

That became even more evident, when one realizes that the stock market tumble on Friday, February 2 was actually 665.75.  That quarter of a % point matters, as CNBC reports:

“What’s in a quarter of a point? That sliver of rounding, seemingly minuscule in a market that topped 26,000 just last month, actually means a lot in the age of electronic trading.

Computers and preset algorithms are running lots of trades, and many are built to react when the market hits specific levels. So different elaborate mousetrap actions kick in at 665.75 than might be triggered at 666.

As CNBC markets writer Fred Imbert will tell you as he’s trying not to blink while watching the Dow when it’s up 99.9 points, he can’t change his markets headline to reference 100 points until it’s official — no rounding allowed.

This time, though, the temptation of headlining a market gutting of — nearly — 666 points was too much to resist.

So the venerable CNBC has come outright and stated that they rounded up on purpose to 666, because of the symbolism behind it.  Even a secular business news network gets the significance of the number 666 in relation to the market – though they are attributing this to the Devil, when in fact the number 666 is attributed to the earthly Antichrist, when he comes to rule.  Revelation 13 introduces this number to us:

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

The number 666 is directly related to the financial systems of this world, as the Bible says that no one will be able to even buy or sell anything without having that mark of the beast, whatever that will be, OR the name of the beast, OR the number of his name.  There has been much speculation as to what this number or mark will be like, but it states it will be a mark on their hand or the forehead.

Personally, I believe it will be some kind of RFID chip that can be read by a scanner – something that cannot be faked or hacked or duplicated.

Solohealth Stations, set up in Walmarts. (Credit: Solohealth)Back in 2014, Fortune magazine wrote that Wal-Mart could solve some of its inventory problems with RFID technology.  In April of that year, Walmart executives admitted they had a huge inventory management problem: the company lost $3 billion in 2013 sales due to out of stock merchandise while its inventory grew at a faster rate than its sales. Even though the company cited other issues for its financial woes at the time, the inventory problem certainly contributed.

That same year, Walmart temporarily experimented with the idea of putting RFID chips in humans, for better tracking of people’s health care and prescription information.  Their SoloHealth Stations, or consumer biometric health kiosks, were introduced in select stores, and quietly pulled later.  The individual could scan their hand into the system, which would have an RFID chip implanted – and they could bring up all of their medical information as required to get prescriptions refilled, etc.

The equipment used to RFID microchip an entire Swedish company in 2017. (Credit: The Independent)Then a company in Sweden in April 2017, ironically named Epicenter, were in fact at the center of an international debate about privacy and security related to RFID chips in humans.  The UK newspaper The Independent reported that what we used to believe was OK for our pets, in order to identify them if lost or stolen, has apparently come full circle to humans.  This company had their entire staff implanted with RFID chips, which they said would assist with things like avoiding the need for keys and passes.  The syringe would slide between the thumb and index finger. Then, with a click, a microchip is injected in the employee’s hand about the size of a grain of rice.  Within a split second, another “cyborg” is created.  The part I could not believe was that everyone there actually volunteered for it – no one was forced to take the chip against their will.
Amazon’s new cashier-less (and cashless) Go! store. (Credit: Getty Images)The opening of Amazon’s new Go! store in Seattle a few weeks ago should give some extra rise for concern.  The store has no cashiers – you go in, pick up your groceries, and as you walk out of the stores with your bags in your hands.  At the exit, a powerful scanner will read all of the RFID chips, total your purchases and credit your credit or debit card – all without you stopping to actually do a checkout of the items.  No cash is involved, no concerns about the honor system.  There were a few hiccups on opening day, with one journalist reporting she got free yogurt, because the system didn’t scan properly.  But the future implications of technology like this for retail will undoubtedly be something the Antichrist can use to his advantage.

I state without apology or question that we are right now living in the beginning of the Last Days – the evidence is mounting every time one opens the daily newspaper and compares it with the Books of Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel, and Matthew 24. I do NOT, however, believe in coincidence – I think everything that is unfolding now is exactly as God intends it to be.  And I believe He is shouting out through news headlines, such as we saw yesterday, that the Church of Jesus Christ needs to “GET UP! GET READY! BEHOLD, HE COMES!”

Let’s “get real” for a moment, folks.  That one day drop has been reported by CNBC to be worth over $1.6 trillion dollars.  That’s just under $5,000 for every man, woman and child in the United States alone.  The Dow lost more points yesterday than at the start of the financial crisis of 2008 – dubbed by some “the Great Recession”.  Yet, this is not a massive financial disaster quite yet – the New York Times recently reported that during that global catastrophe in 2008, the markets lost between $6 trillion and $14 trillion in today’s money — or $19,000 to $45,000 per person.  But it is still significant.

The world needs to wake up.  The systems are already in place for the rule of an Antichrist to come.  This may not actually be the event or series of events that brings him to power, but who knows how this will play out.  The next major world event, according to the Bible, is the Rapture of the Church of Jesus Christ.  When millions of people suddenly disappear and are not accounted for, the systems of this world will collapse as we know them.  And a new system, which is already in its infancy, will become the dominant ruling governance of this world.

If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, I believe God has led you to this article for a reason.   At the bottom of the page, you will see a link to “Gods Got A Plan For You”. That 8-minute video could just be the most important thing you ever view online – not because of who made it but because of what it says.  WATCH IT NOW – it could be the most important video you will ever watch.

Black Lives Matter Has A List of Demands…

Chanelle Helm, a Black Lives Matter of Louisville organizer, speaks in that city March 11, 2017 (Credit: Brian Bohannon)

Chanelle Helms, the “co-founder and co-organizer of Black Lives Matter Louisville” posted a Facebook message in August 2017 that caused a firestorm of controversy, after it was subsequently reprinted in several publications across the U.S. In the posting, she mused about several things that needed to happen, in her opinion, in order for the black community in the United States to be satisfied with their lot in life. When you see the list, you’ll quickly recognize why it gained so much publicity – negative or otherwise.

However, it was when she was interviewed by Tucker Carlson on Fox News recently, that I realized that, rather than just write this as a provocateur or instigator for change; rather than be apologetic or embarrassed about the attention this list gained, she was in fact even more militant on the air. When the list was labelled “racist” by Tucker Carlson, she even went on to state that this was not possible – because black people can’t be racist.

You be the judge whether that’s factually the case or not, once you get a look at the list of demands below.

1. White people: if you don’t have any descendants, will your property to a back or brown family. Preferably one that lives in generational poverty.

Yeah, NO. I would be one of those “white people” who has no children, and I think that’s the stupidest thttps://www.clickondetroit.com/news/black-unemployment-rate-no-longer-at-record-low-trump-toutedhing I’ve ever heard.  Perhaps because I come at it from a Canadian perspective, but I worked my butt off for everything I had.  I worked my way through college with very few student loans. (That’s not “white privilege” – I have Aboriginal first cousins that were able to attend college completely free-of-charge.  And good for the, I say, if that was available for them).

As ridiculous as it may sounds, the whole idea of white reparations to black people is becoming increasingly common-place. Perhaps this is their idea of a stop-gap measure to make up for motivational issues in the black community?  Click On Detroit  states that the black unemployment rate nationally was 7.7% as reported today (February 2, 2018) – yet the black participation rate in the work force was 62.8% – meaning 37.2% of blacks are not actively participating in the workforce.

That initially made no sense to me, until I read these definitions of the terms, from Business Insider:

The labor force participation rate is the ratio of Americans counted in the labor force to the total civilian noninstitutional adult population.  In other words, the number of adults working out of the total adult population.
The unemployment rate is the ratio of those without a job who are counted in the labor force (i.e., unemployed and searching for work) to the total labor force.   In other words, the total number of adults not working but looking for a job, out of the total number working.
So of the 62.8% of blacks that are even bothering to “participate” in the work force, about 7.7% of them can’t find work.  That’s a record low in the black community.  But even then, whites are being told that somehow we are still responsible and need to pay them out.

They don’t even stop to think about the backgrounds of these white people.  For example, my paternal greatgrandfather was Danish, and came to settle in North America on the Canadian Prairies to forge a new life for himself and his family.  He didn’t come from a land of slave owners, nor work or live in a nation that had any background of slave ownership – nor did he probably know too many black people in his entire life. Yet, because he’s simply white, he’s gotta pay up?   How idiotic.

As one young man so eloquently stated it:

I as a white man, who had no slaves owes YOU nothing, who were not slaves”.

2. White people, if you’re inheriting property you intend to sell upon acceptance, give it to a black or brown family. You’re bound to make that money in some other white privileged way.

How outrageous yet again.  Especially when one considers that, according to data supplied by the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, in the State of Alabama, there are 331,000 black people below the poverty line.  There are 373,000 white people in the same state below the poverty line – over 42,000 more whites than black people.  Where’s the white privilege there?  And by the way, poor means poor.  The same standard is applied to both – if one only has two dimes in his pocket, the colour of his skin is completely irrelevant to the coins.  Let’s look at a few more:

In Arizona, 373,400 whites vs. 77,600 blacks are poor.

In California, 1,438,000 whites vs. 496,000 blacks are poor.

In Florida, 1,004,500 whites vs. 603,800 blacks are poor.

In Kentucky, 497,300 whites vs. 86,200 blacks are poor.

In New York, 875,600 whites vs. 461,200 blacks are poor.

And before you accuse me cherry-picking the worse states in the Union (and sadly, I wasn’t), across the United States as a whole there were 17,494,800 whites vs. 8,719,100 blacks that were considered “poor” by definition.

Now, I can hear you already – “but the percentages of white vs. black are very different”. Yes, that may be – but the 17 million white poor don’t consider themselves any more fortunate because they are a smaller percentage of their population than their black neighbours that are poor – there are still twice as many white people as black people in the bread line in your city.  In my opinion, that’s not white privilege, no matter how you try to slice it down.

3. If you are a developer or realty owner of multi-family housing, build a sustainable complex in a black or brown blighted neighbourhood and let black and brown people live in it for free.

Decay: Soaring unemployment and the flight of thousands of city residents has resulted in urban blight spreading across the city. (Credit: X01249)

Oh yes, because that makes sense.  Why should anyone get housing for FREE in this country or in America?  Why on earth do they deserve that versus the white population, of which there are twice as many poor people?

To be perfectly blunt, name one real estate developer, white or black, that would let his buildings look like this.  And that’s another point – why is there an assumption that black people can’t be real estate developers?

This headline made me shake my head, from a website called Black Economic Development.com: “IF YOU’RE A BLACK BUSINESS OWNER WHO WANTS TO SUCCEED, LEAVE THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN CONSUMER BEHIND”.  Apparently “systemic racism” isn’t just a white thing (and it never was).

4. White people, if you can afford to downsize, give up the home you own to a black or brown family. Preferably a family from generational poverty.

Who the hell in today’s economy can afford to downsize and just “give” their bigger home away to some other random family?  Does this chick actually have a clue how people get homes?  Is there some mystical belief that white people just get their houses handed to them by the banks, while black people can’t be home owners unless they get one for free from a white guy?  I’m sure a lot of successful black business owners, university professors, etc. could afford to do the same thing, if at all – yet they are not asked to do so?  Hmmmmm why wouldn’t that be expected of “your own kind”?

5. White people, if any of the people you intend to leave your property to are racists assholes, change the will, and will your property to a black or brown family. Preferably a family from generational poverty.

Koreatown burning – April 29, 1992. (Credit: Tony K. Choi)

And what measuring stick do you exactly use to determine whether the black or brown family are not racist assholes?  Oh, they can’t be, you say?  Blacks and browns get along just fine across America?  Get your head out of your very large and very victimized rear-end.  Racism is rampant in America amongst all races.

25 years ago, after the Rodney King beating in Los Angeles, black people burned down many Korean businesses in South Central Los Angeles.  How exactly do you define that, if not “systemic racism”?  Koreans didn’t beat Rodney King – they had nothing to do with that story at all.  So explain then why they were so viciously targeted:  the L.A. Times reports that the “LA riots left 63 people dead, another 2,000 people injured and roughly $1 billion in property damage across the city.”

6. White people, re-budget your monthly so you can donate to black funds for land purchasing.

The black and (very) white of black celebrities.

I can’t personally re-budget my monthly, and if I did, I wouldn’t give to anyone who so constantly vilifies my race and then pretends it’s not racism.  I personally never had issues with black people until Black Lives Matter comes along.  Now I see those who are leading this group to be completely mentally retarded.  Yes, you read that right – some of the stupidest things I’ve ever read are coming out of black peoples’ mouths today.  Even if I had the money, I wouldn’t be giving to any group that thinks they have the right to demand it from me.  How ridiculous.

Get Oprah Winfrey, Beyond, Jay-Z, Tyler Perry and a host of other black artists to pay their fair share into the black community.  They all live in the whitest neighbourhoods possible – and you have the gall to try to pin all this on white pepole?  Tell Beyonce to put her money where her mouth is – they all mouth “black lives matter”, and then they escape to their mansions and away from the black riff raff that they can’t possibly live near.  And why is that young black woman turning into a middle aged white lady?

7. White people, especially white women (because this is yaw specialty — Nosey Jenny and Meddling Kathy), get a racist fired. Yaw know what the fuck they be saying. You are complicit when you ignore them. Get your boss fired cause they racist too.

This is going to go very badly.  You are first of all insinuating that black women at work are irresponsible and assuming that their bosses are racist.  Wouldn’t that actually indicate that the black employee is the one that is racist?

And when it was Black Lives Matter itself that was discriminatory and didn’t allow other races to attend one of their events?  And a black university professor went on national television to defend this racist blacks-only event?  Hopefully she didn’t have any white employees under her – that would have been awkward.

8. Backing up No. 7, this should be easy but all those sheetless Klan, Nazi’s and Other lil’ dick-white men will all be returning to work. Get they ass fired. Call the police even: they look suspicious.

Global Domination Through Applied Inactivity: Ferguson is just like MLK’s protests? Seriously?

What is she talking about?  The protest that took place in Charlottesville, VA.  And her first mistake was in assuming those knuckle-dragging skinheads HAVE jobs?  LOL.

And what should we then do about the black men that burned down city after city after city across America with their protests?  Like in Ferguson, Missouri, where such refined, upstanding young men showed, with acts of bravery and chivalry, that they had been raised in decent, God-fearing….(mmmfffhfh).  Sorry, I had to keep from throwing up in my mouth a little.

If you want to see racism everywhere, it will be everywhere.  If you want to assume you have supremacy – white or black – you will assume the other race is inferior.  Black or white.  Racism exists on both sides of the fence.  Martin Luther King would be so ashamed.

9. OK, backing up No. 8, if any white person at your work, or as you enter in spaces and you overhear a white person praising the actions from yesterday, first, get a pic. Get their name and more info. Hell, find out where they work — Get Them Fired. But certainly address them, and, if you need to, you got hands: use them.

A woman in Morrow, GA that goes by the name Eye Empress Sekhmet is now being investigated by local police for declaring open season on killing whites while holding a gun!

Wow, so now this dumb witch is encouraging black people to beat up on white people at work, over a conversation they may or may not have said. She of course would include speaking out against protests like in Ferguson, MO.  Racism is ok, apparently, as long as their racism.  Some black people call that fighting back against white people who had nothing to do with their injustices “a correction”.  Here’s the thing, dumbass – if you want to take on the white community for things they didn’t do and aren’t responsible for, and you are really retarded enough to attack them over it, just remember that you represent 13% of the nation.  If you want a race war, you’ll be wiped off the face of the earth.  That would be incredibly stupid and naive to encourage.  No one wants that.  But no white person is going to put up with eing attacked just because they are white – again, they didn’t own slaves, and you weren’t ever a slave.  Get a grip.

10. Commit to two things: Fighting white supremacy where and how you can (this doesn’t mean taking up knitting unless you’re making scarves for black and brown kids in need), and funding black and brown people and their work.

Oh good – that would be a good first start for black people to fund black people for a change. Since you assume that whites are all white supremacists, best not to endanger yourself by coming to us with these financial matters.  Who knows, we could just go unhinged at any moment (I’m speaking tongue in cheek). People should not be reduced to their skin color – it reduces them and causes distrust.  You help no one when you make stupid statements that enflame the hatred – you are the guilty ones causing the harm to the black community.  White people aren’t going to just take abuse at will from blacks, nor should the opposite ever be tolerated as well.  What an animalistic belief – cats can’t be friends with dogs.  People are, I think, a bit above that fray.  Maybe you should try that for awhile.  Rather than be a victim, better yourself.  It’s what everyone else has to do, regardless of race.

Yellowstone UPDATE #4: 2,500 Earthquakes in 115 days

For an unprecedented fourth time, we are updating this story to bring you the current seismic situation at Yellowstone National Park.  The current swarm of 2,500 earthquakes at the park, situated over a massive super-volcano the size of Mexico, is now the second-longest swarm in recorded history  To follow the history of this story:

Yellowstone Update #3: Now 878 Earthquakes in 14 Days! (August 14, 2017)
Yellowstone Update #2: Now 878 Earthquakes in 14 Days! (July 1, 2017)
 Yellowstone Update #1: 464 Earthquakes in 10 Days! {June 22, 2017)
As first reported on June 22, 2017, an ancient super-volcano, or caldera, lies beneath the surface of Yellowstone National Park. About 1,000 to 3,000 earthquakes strike Yellowstone each year, according to researchers – which is now cause for significant alarm, as the park has seen that the annual number of earthquakes occur in just 8 weeks.

  • CGI enactment of what an eruption of the Yellowstone super-volcano could look like.

Newsweek reported on October 4 that an ongoing earthquake swarm, which began June 12 of this year at Yellowstone National Park, is now one of the longest and biggest ever recorded.

Over the past 115 days, the United States Geological Survey (USGS), in its monthly Volcano Notification Service report on October 2, stated that 2,487 earthquakes have now been recorded in the western part of the national park.  This now puts the region on par with the biggest and longest swarm ever recorded – more than 3,000 earthquakes in a 3 month period set decades ago.  USGS said 115 earthquakes had been reported in the park during September 2017.  Of these, 78 were part of the ongoing swarm 6 miles north of West Yellowstone. The biggest event in the swarm last month was magnitude 2.3.

    The USGS report continued:

“The swarm in no way signals an impending eruption, and it appears now to be coming to an end. However, experts at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) say it has been “fascinating” to monitor and are eager to learn more about it in their analysis of the event.”

The near-symmetrical Mount Cleveland, Alaska – the most active volcano in America – erupting 23 times since 1776!

I still cannot believe that the USGS HAS a volcano notification service.  I thought that only Mt. St. Helen’s, Yellowstone and Hawaii were in any way volcanoes of interest.  Turns out that USGS has 6 different volcano observatories, and that there are 276 volcanoes in the United States, most thankfully still inactive – including 4 in American Samoa, 3 in Colorado, 7 in Arizona, 25 in California, 22 in Hawaii, 10 in Idaho, 1 in Louisiana, 2 in Mississippi, 1 in Missouri, 5 in Nevada, 2 in New Hampshire, 10 in New Hampshire, 15 in the Northern Mariana Islands, a stunning 43 in Oregon, 1 in South Dakota, 2 in Texas, 5 in Utah, 2 in Virginia, 16 in Washington state and of course Yellowstone in Wyoming.

But nothing could prepare me for the news that Alaska has 99 volcanoes – and of those, (are you ready for this) 40 erupted at least once since 1786, 28 have erupted since 1974 – including 9 since 2000, and already 3 since 2016!  Across America, there have been 57 eruptions since 1776 – and only 4 have been in Hawaii!   All 3 Western states – Washington, Oregon and California, have had at least one volcanic eruption in the last 100 years!

I’m Fed Up With This “No Worries” Nonsense

If there was no cause for concern, then why do they keep bringing it up?  If there is no possibility of an eruption for an estimated 50,000 years, as USGS advises, then why are we talking about this at all?  Most of the earthquakes are so small, you couldn’t feel the even in the Park.  So why would they release this info to the general public, knowing it could cause concern, if there was no concern.  They wouldn’t be tracking it every month and reporting it back to us.  In fact, had this earthquake swarm not began in June 2017, I would never have known in the first place that Yellowstone National Park even had a supervolcano underneath it.

    • Yellowstone National Park, located in the U.S. states of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho, is actually the world’s first National Park, established by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1, 1872.  Canada was only 4 years old.
    • The supervolcano underneath Yellowstone Park is, according to Forbes magazine, the size of Mexico in area.
    • According to USGS, the minimum annual average number of earthquakes in this region – 1,000, or  2.74/day.  The maximum annual average number of earthquakes in this region – 3,000, or  8.22/day.  The current number of earthquakes in the last 115 days – 21.6/day – that’s NEARLY 3 TIMES the MAXIMUM average
    • 2278647_f520Explosions of this magnitude “happen about every 600,000 years at Yellowstone,” says Chuck Wicks of the U.S. Geological Survey, who has studied the possibilities in separate work. “And it’s been about 620,000 years since the last super explosive eruption there.
    • Half the United States will be covered in ash up to 3 feet (1 meter) deep, according to a study published in the journal Earth and Planetary Science Letters.
    • Deformation of the land around the volcano region is actually one of the very signs of a possible eruption.  USGS reported that this deformation did CONTINUE in the month of September, but at a rate within “historic norms” of a “few millimeters per month”.

On that note, CNN reported on July 15, 2014 that the only access road into Yellowstone was not driveable for a period, due to the asphalt all melting.  Ever since I visited the Park with my family as a child, you have to walk on wooden sidewalks around the Park, because stepping on the soil in some places could mean instant death – as you would fall directly into boiling sulfur water deposits just under the thin layer of soil.

So a few millimeters per month of soil deformation for the last 3 years since then, especially after 2,500 earthquakes, should be scaring the hell out of everyone.

    What’s A Super-Volcano?

“Supervolcanoes”, as we colloquially know them, normally have a few common characteristics, including a massive cauldron-like crater (a “caldera”) and a vast magma source.  In the case of Yellowstone, an eruption could be magnitude 8 on the Volcanic Explosivity Index, indicating an eruption of more than 1,000 cubic kilometers (250 cubic miles) of magma.  By comparison, according to USGS:

    • Mt. St. Helens had an eruption of about 5 VEI.
    • Mt. Vesuvius, which buried the city of Pompeii, Italy in A.D. 79, also was a 5 VEI.
    • The most powerful volcanic eruption in the last 200 years took place at Tambora, Indonesia in 1815.  The massive 7 VEI eruption killed 92,000 people.

The current Yellowstone Caldera is so large – 72 kilometers (45 miles) across – that you can’t really see the whole thing even from an airplane.  It can only be completely viewed from space.

Yellowstone has had at least three such eruptions, according to scientists: 2.1 million years ago, 1.2 million years ago and 640,000 years ago – and were about 6,000, 700 and 2,500 times larger than the May 18, 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens in Washington State.  And don’t let that discount in your mind the power of the eruption of Mt. St. Helens – ash from the volcano ended up in my little town of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan – a 966-mile drive away.  It is estimated that if Yellowstone erupted, the ash on a great portion of the U.S. could be a meter deep.

According to National Geographic, scientists have always known that there was a supervolcano “shallow subsurface magma chamber” dominating the iconic Park, the cartoon home of Yogi Bear which stretches in reality across parts of Wyoming and Montana.  However, it wasn’t until April 2015 that National Public Radio reported that:

“A second, much larger reservoir of partially molten rock had been discovered by researchers at the University of Utah. There’s enough magma inside, they say, to fill the Grand Canyon more than 11 times.”

Seismologists at the University of Utah, published in the journal Science, say the magma reservoir sits below the other, shallower (and smaller) one already known.  The article announced:

“[Scientists] had imaged a shallow magma chamber about 10 kilometers below the surface, containing about 10,000 cubic kilometers of molten material. But now they have found a deeper one, 4.5 times larger, that sits between 20 and 50 kilometers below the surface.”

55,000 cubic kilometers of magma, or 13,195 cubic miles,  would actually fill the 999-cubic mile Grand Canyon about 13 TIMES, to be more exact.  But once it erupts and dumps the first 1 to 3 Grand Canyons worth of lava, it would take out all of Wyoming and the majority of Idaho and Montana, bordering on the West and North respectively.  The resulting ash cloud could block out the sun for over a year, killing most of the vegetation, animals, and people in a very large swath of the United States, as you can see from this map:

    The Horrors of Krakatoa

On of the most destructive volcanos in recorded history hit the island of Krakatoa, Indonesia at a VEI of 6 – a series of four eruptions starting August 25, 1883 – killing 36,000 people.  Krakatoa’s explosion was so powerful, 70% of the 9 km by 7 km island literally was blown to pieces in the final of the 4 eruptions.

    • The first explosion sent a tsunami 98 feet high to nearby Telok, Betong, renamed as Bandar Lampung 100 years after the disaster (in 1983).  They would also be hit by a second tsunami even taller a few hours later, while simultaneously being thrown into pitch black darkness by the amount of ash in the air.  They didn’t even see the second tsunami coming.  The city was completely destroyed and the majority of the death toll was from there.  Today it is a vibrant city of 1 million on the south tip of Sumatra Island, Indonesia. In its main park sits a piece of the lighthouse of the city – the only thing that remained after the enormous waves washed everything into the ocean.
    • The second explosion was so powerful, it was actually heard in Perth, Australia – about 3,000 miles away.
    • The third explosion was as the loudest sound heard in recorded history. At over 160 kms away, the sound was still 180 decibels. According to industrialnoisecontrol.com, a military jet taking off with its after burners on is about 130 decibels.  A 747 taking off 25 metres away would register only at 150 decibels, and would rupture eardrums.  Therefore, at the point of eruption, every living thing in the area would have been made instantly and permanently deafened.
    • The final explosion was the strongest volcanic explosion ever recorded by man in modern history – equivalent to 13,000 atomic bombs that hit Hiroshima.  It was so loud, it could be heard in Alice Springs, Australia – over 3,000 miles away.  Ships as far away as South Africa – 7,500 kms away – rocked as tsunamis hit them.
    • This final explosion triggered a tsunami that was recorded at 151 feet high when it hit the town of Merak, on the island of Java – the third tsunami of the night to do so. 100 ton blocks of coral were thrown on shore by the massive wave.  The tsunami reportedly travelled at 438 miles per hour, hitting Bombay, India – and was even recorded in the English Channel – 18,000 kms away.
    • Aftershocks were recorded as much as 8 months ater.
    • The acid rain that followed lasted for 6 years.

THAT’S what a super-volcano can do.  Keep praying, folks.  And be prepared (see the bottom of this article).

You cannot be “too prepared” for a monumental natural disaster like this super-volcano, but today, one doesn’t have to be impacted by something that large.  Thunderstorms, tornadoes, flooding, hurricanes,

power failures, blizzards, hail storms and other events you cannot control …can still control you!

Be prepared – have an emergency kit available in your home at all times!  Check out our Survivalist Store, where we have many of the items your home should not be without in the event of a major issue.

Don’t expect the government to take care of you – you will be on your own for as long as 72 hours or more in the event of a major issue.
